The Nut House

“The Nut House” is based on two distinct groups of squirrels living in a squirrel duplex and trying to co-exist. Each squirrel has a different personality and must try to get along with the other squirrels living in the Nut House. As humans, we must also work to solve problems and co-exist in LIFE. “The Nut House” is based on true events and real people who are represented by various squirrels in the book. “The Nut House” is fashioned after “Cornerstone Group Home,” which really did exist as a safe haven for people who were struggling with mental health issues, like A.L.S. Scott, who was housed there from 2010-2012. The characters in the book are based off of real people and teach us all the valuable lesson of DIVERSITY. The world would be a pretty boring place if it weren’t for the diverse personalities of the people living in our communities. Once your child reads, “The Nut House,” they will want to read other books by A.L.S. Scott.
