Fascinating book about the child of missionaries
I found this book fascinating. The author tells her life story, including being brought up by missionaries in Africa and being sent to boarding school at the age of six. I chose this book to read as the author has ALS, but most of the book takes place before her ALS diagnosis. I would have liked to have heard a little more about what happened after she got ALS. However, I found her life fascinating to read about.

Ruth has lived an extraordinary life. She went through trauma as a missionary kid in Nigeria, found out some uncomfortable truths about her birth parents, and was diagnosed with ALS.
