Customers say

Customers find the toilet aid keeps hands clean and sanitary during use. However, the product receives mixed feedback about its functionality and ease of use, with some saying it serves its purpose well while others report it doesn’t work at all and find it awkward to operate. Moreover, durability is a concern as it breaks after first use, and the paper hold mechanism fails to grip properly. Additionally, the release mechanism doesn’t work effectively, and customers consider it a waste of money. The size is problematic, with customers noting it’s too large and hard to fit in the bowl.

    Just buy a bidet
I was so excited to receive this only to be massively let down.First, the grip on the bath tissue end is very weak. You have to keep experimenting with it and how much tissue you can reliably hold vs how much you need. Second, the release is inconveniently located at the tip of the other end and can’t be used effectively if your thumbs or fingers are compromised, making you have to use both hands. Third, you never feel completely clean after a bm.Bottom line: pun intended- meh to use for No.1; disaster, time consuming, and inefficient for No. 2; just take a shower if you have No. 3.The Romans used a sponge tied to a stick and salt water. Their idea was waaaaaaay better.

First of all I never thought I’d be writing a review like this. Let start out by saying I’m a bigger girl. I weigh 288lbs. It will make sense. Even at my weight I’ve never had a problem wiping my booty. Now that leads me to January when I broke my right wrist. My dominant hand. I CANNOT do anything with my left. So there comes a day when I have to poop. I remember seeing an episode of my 600lb life and a lady used a pair of tongs to hold the TP to help her reach around. So off to the store we go. Get back home tongs in hand. It works but not the most comfortable. My daughter says mom I’m sure Amazon has something. She types in ass wiper and this product comes up. I immediately order it. What do I have to lose at this point? It has been the most amazing product! Yep it’s soft. It reaches perfectly. I used flushable wipes with it so help keep me clean. Now my cast is off and I still do not have good range of motion and less flexibility than I had before. So I am still using it. I wished that I had one that folded so I could take it in the bathroom when I travel instead of trying to hide this one in my jacket. So I take a look and there is a foldable one. BUY IT! You won’t be disappointed.

    Not easy to use.
The end that holds the TP doesn’t do a very good job at all. You might as well use a plain stick with a rubber glove rubber-banded on. Gripper just doesn’t hold it.

    Good delivery service and product
It serves its purpose, but I wish there was a better clean up method for the wand

Don’t let my 2 star rating deter you…
I dislike not being able to give this product a 5 star rating. It deserves 5 stars for usefulness and technical design. However, I am giving it 2 stars for material and assembly quality, as well as longevity of product. Within less than 24 hours of opening the box, the cover and spring had broken on the handle of the wiper. Since this doesn’t render the product unusable, I have chosen to keep it rather than return it.I have purchased several of the Long Reach Comfort Wipe for my mother over the past several years from various retail outlets. None of the spring release mechanisms have lasted long-term. Some have lasted longer than others, but not having use of the spring-release mechanism has not deterred her from using the wiper. She loves the product.Overall, the wiper is a great little personal hygiene helper in the bathroom from toileting to showering. The cost of $6.95 is very acceptable. Anything more than that, due to the poor quality is over priced. I did purchase 2 this time. Hopefully, by the time my mother needs a replacement, the quality of the product will have improved. If you have physical difficulties with toileting and showering, I would still recommend The Long Reach Comfort Wipe.

Comfort wipe for folks needing assistance.
Pro – Comfort Wipe is an incredible, assistive device for those lacking mobility. I have bought 3 for each bathroom and my daily carry bag.Cons – The release feature doesn’t really work with toilet paper or wipes. It is easier to just wrap and then flip off in trash can.

Too hard to use cleanly and broke right away (same day)
Well sometimes if you have severe back pain, reach can be a problem. I highly recommend a toilet seat Bidet, but to “finish things up” you may feel the need to wipe..that’s where something like this comes into play. Before using this, I pressed the “button” to check how it would function if needed, one, two annnndddd three, it broke on the third press! It feels like there is a long metal rod inside that’s supposed to open a clip spring at the “grabby” side of this ( also, if you don’t have good hand strength this is not for you ). So let’s see if it would work IF it wasn’t broken, I loaded it up with toilet paper ( 6 winds or folds as per instructions). Guess what?….the TP does not want to come off due to adherence to the silicone type rubber on the end of it. You will quite literally be shaking and flinging dirty toilet paper to try to unload this thing…ick. If that wasn’t bad enough (and it is), the angle is such that you risk dunking your TP while having to squirm around to get where you need to be to wipe. If you are a plus size, that adds up (pun intended) to this thing never working. Try something else, as this is only slightly better than a corn cob. Hope this helps.

It doesn’t work, the toilet paper doesn’t release, the head is to big to wipe your bottom.

I fractured my vertebrae and came home from hospital in a back brace after spending a considerable time in bed. The back brace restricted my movement and this implement became a necessity! I could not have managed without it. I did find it easier to wrap the wet toilet wipes around it rather than conventional loo roll.

I bought this for someone with rheumatoid arthritis in their hands. On the day it arrived I tried to show them how to grip and release the loo roll. We hadn’t even pressed the button more than 3 times when it broke. Really poorly manufactured. It’s such a waste of everyone’s time selling products that are not fit for purpose.
