Great for compression on the ribs
I’d strained some muscles on my ribs. It was painful to bend, twist, and especially coughing. I thought some compression on the ribs would ease the pain, so I got this. It immediately reduced the pain in my side and I could move around more comfortably. It seems very well made, thick and durable, made to last. The velcro closure has a lot of runway so adjusting the amount of compression is super easy. !00% recommended.

Product is made of sturdy materials and obviously made to last. Shipping, as usual, was very fast. I use the strap around my chest because I had open heart surgery a year ago and the surgeon failed to propely tie my sternum together. It helps with stability and keeps my chest from popping and hurting all the time by stabilizing it while I decide what to do next.

Where it fits from under breasts to waist is 6 inches – which is 3 inches too much for my height.
if you are a short person, this does not work well. I was able to wear it an hour before it folded over underneath my breast and curled up around my waist. I’m sure it would be great for somebody tall that needs some support after injuring their ribs but after talking with my doctor, he said they don’t suggest these as frequently as they used to because if placed too tightly, it can cause more injury. However, I have previously fractured a rib and had a wrap that was not quite as deep as this one and it seemed to help a lot. The stability was a big plus. I’m sure this product would be very helpful to someone that wasn’t vertically challenged. I only have about 3 inches between the bottom of my breast and waist, and unfortunately, this rap is about 6 inches wide

Easier than a bandage.
Its much easier to apply than the ace bandage, which I needed two people (myself included) due to a shoulder injury I sustained at the same time as my rib issues. This goes on easier without as much guesswork as to how tight I need to wrap it, and the varying degrees of stretch post-wash and post-weather from the bandage that loosens over time.I can apply this by myself, with less fuss and less guesswork. It also works as well as the bandage too. I still have to brace my ribs when coughing, but thats a side effect of the injury. This eases everything else.
