Customers find the steak knife effective at cutting food and salad, and appreciate its ease of use for those with arthritis and hand pain. The knife works well for one-handed use and provides independence in the kitchen, while being solidly made and worth the price. However, customers report difficulties with the protective cover, noting it’s hard to remove and snap back on.

    Game Changer restores Independent Living
This is the second one of these rocker knives that I purchased for my Mom. She has only one hand that works, and this knife is a game changer for her. She is able to cut meat (including steaks) and any other food that she would need a knife for with one hand, giving her back her independence.

    Great product for stroke survivors
I bought this for my mom who is a stroke survivor. She has no function in her dominant hand. She is able to use this perfectly fine in her non-dominant hand.

Works very well for us 1 handed meat eaters!
I was very relieved to find this knife. I no longer need help cutting up meat, or doing prep work.

Best Mincing Blade in My Drawer
.Onion, Garlic, Shallots, you name it and this blade will mince it. I ALWAYS use a wooden bowl for mincing to prevent damage to the edge. Once I stropped it to shaving sharp it became my go-to mincing tool ✅Not as fast as a food processor, but incredibly more gentle, precise and flavor preserving with the food.( forget the useless snap on cover and just find an empty spot in your knife block or bag ).

For a one handed guy, this is a Godsend.
I had a stroke in ’19, which rendered my left arm nearly useless. Trying to use a regular steak knife is an exercise in futility and frustration, especially for proteins like pork chops, and some steaks. Enter Vertigrip! When I cut into a sirloin, I need to cut across the grain to achieve that tender bite I enjoy so well. The sharp blade of the Vertigrip can cut the thinnest slices without much effort, and for stubborn cuts a quick rocking of the blade makes short work of the endeavor. I love this thing! To clean, I just lay a wet napkin on the edge of the table and wipe it off using the table’s edge as a makeshift scraper. The only negative I have encountered is the plastic sheath doesn’t snap on and off as easily as I would like it to. But I suspect that will change over time. Suffice it to say that I can use it successfully and safely with only one hand, which was my main objective.

Easy to use, even with non dominant hand. Highly recommend this!
Two days after Christmas 2021, I fell and broke my right shoulder and some ribs. Didn’t need surgery, so I ended up spending Jan 2022 in a rehabilitation center in a bulky brace on my right side. I am right handed so, of course, there were lots of issues in trying to do for myself as much as possible. After ripping meat into bite size portions with my left hand, I decided there had to be something else I could use. Found this and when it arrived, I tried it out an the toughest pork chop I’ve ever had and it worked! Even now, months after regaining use of my right hand, I use it because it’s easier on my arthritic fingers. Even with sharp knives you have to put some pressure on the edge that isn’t sharp and my fingers hurt too much to do that. I grasp this in my fist and use the leverage of my arm and elbow to apply a chopping force, not putting any strain on my hands and fingers. I would definitely recommend this knife for anyone with loss of use of their hand cow whatever reason. Just remember that it’s very sharp!

Cuts thru a steak like cutting a banana!
Excellent tool! When eating out, I wouldn’t order steak, too embarrassed to ask my wife to cut my steak. I didn’t want her to be cutting my steak while hers is getting cold. With this knife I can eat steak anywhere. Cuts thru it with ease. I’m a right arm amputee. I highly recommend this knife.

    Chop or slice without strain!
This is a game changer! I was constantly asking my husband to cut things for me because of arthritis in my fingers/hands. It was worse after surgery, when I could only use one hand. I decided to try this. It’s great! I can use my whole hand, without straining my thumb. I can chop veggies, or slice meat with a rocking motion. The only thing I haven’t mastered is baby carrots, which like to roll away. Unlike straight knives, the size/shape of this makes it easy to cut things like salad in a bowl.My husband said “You use that every day!” Yes, I do. I just wish the cover went on more easily so I could stick it in my purse and take it to restaurants.
