Customers say

Customers find the gait belt works well and is sturdy for gait training, with the leg straps helping prevent it from sliding. They appreciate its comfort, reducing strain on the back, and find it useful for helping with transfers, with one customer noting it’s a game-changer for those requiring assistance. The belt receives mixed feedback regarding ease of use and stability, with some finding it easy to use while others consider it difficult to put on, and while some say it doesn’t slip under the breasts, others mention it runs too small.

    Great Product!
We got this for our 11 year old son with DMD. We first bought the one without the leg straps and did not like it. It always moved around and became very uncomfortable for him. We saw the one with the leg straps and decided to give it a try. The leg straps really help keep the belt in place and makes the lifting a carrying process much more comfortable for those lifting and those being lifted. We used it throughout our trip at Disneyland and was a huge success. It worked perfectly and it was a lifesaver when one of the rides broke down after we left the platform. We were able to lift our son out of the cart and get him safely back in to his power chair. The only downfall we found was the leg straps are a little difficult to adjust, but once you get used to it, it gets easier. We would definitely recommend this product to anyone with mobility and/or gait issues. It saved my back and made our trip much easier and comfortable for all.

Easy to install on a fallen patient.
This is a well constructed Patient lift belt. The addition of leg straps prevents the belt from slipping when lifting the patient. I ordered this belt after attempting to lift my wife, after a fall. Due to recent surgeries, there was nothing to grasp for lifting. I had previously used a similar belt when lifting an elderly person and realized the need for the leg straps. I would purchase this belt again.

    I recommend this
I ordered this belt for my elderly father who has trouble standing on his own. He’s 6ft tall and I am 5’4 so it is difficult getting him in and out of bed, into a wheelchair and the car. I had purchased a different transfer belt which only went around his waist and when we tried to stand him up it would slip up to his chest. Making it tighter wasn’t an option because he is frail so when I saw this one which has belts around the legs attached to the belt I thought I would try it. The price was good and it seems to work very well it doesn’t ride up and it has made it a lot easier for us to move him when needed. The only thing I didn’t like and it is the reason I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that instead of a plastic snapping buckle like the legs have the waist buckle is made of metal and has gripper teeth. It is harder to use that the other snap shut buckle but I wouldn’t let that stop me from recommending it.

    Seller Delivered – Product Didn’t
The belt was delivered promptly. However, I strongly recommend against buying this product. The webbing used on the belt is coarse, rough and stiff. The “quick-release” snaps used on the leg straps are just plain awful. They make the length of the leg straps almost impossible to adjust. Also, if there’s any tension on the snaps, they’re incredibly hard to release. (I got a blood blister on each thumb trying to get them off.) And lastly, if the leg straps are adjusted to keep the belt from rising when the user is standing, they’ll likely be too tight for the user to sit down.

Handles make these easy to use, much better than a plain belt.
The many Handles on the back and sides make these easy to use, much better than a plain belt.We use these to help my mother in law up steps to our house when she comes to visit.Fortunately we need to just provide a little support for stability and not much lift. I’ve found the handles placed on back and sides work extremely well and the size and thickness of the belt and tightening mechanism work very well.I bought the version with the leg loops which I’m sure would help many people, but my mother in law didn’t want to use them, and we found they weren’t need. And they don’t get in the way,I’m sure the belt loops would be a big help if you need to provide a lot of lift for someone instead of just a little support like we do.

Very good value, very well made
Very sturdy, good quality, no pinch points or rough edges where you don’t expect. Handles are constructed to feel ergonomic in a way that is easy to grip for transfers. Makes transferring easier even on my bad arthritis days. The leg straps are nice but tricky to adjust most of the time it’s not used but it’s nice to have the extra security if we go out and I need to feel a little safer transferring in and out of a vehicle. They do help hold the belt in place and keep from rotating around if adjusted properly
