I just received my brace this morning and love it!
I just received my back support brace this morning and I love it! I put it on as soon as it arrived and have had it on ever since, about two hours. I can feel an improvement already! I have scoliosis and severe neck issues. This is exactly what I was looking for. I’ve tried other braces in the past that do not compare to this product which supports the entire back and shoulders which helps to alleviate my neck pain. I am happy that I ordered a large size as the brace runs small. Hint: measure your hips not your waist. I’d advise you to buy a size larger than you think you’d need. It is easy to put on and comfortable to wear, just make sure that the foam strap covers are under your armpits to prevent the straps from rubbing. The price of this brace is very reasonable for the the relief it has provided me in the short time I had it on. I recommend trying it.

It works as designed
I have tried several braces similar to this one and have returned or thrown them away. This one I will keep! I ordered the XXL as I am very overweight, and it just barely fit over my stomach. Hopefully that will get better. 🙂 The metal stays really help! I do recommend getting assistance when putting it on, at least for the first time or two That assistance will allow you to more easily decide how to bend/position the metal stays, placing them against your upper back, just below your your neck. Expect, at least initially, to learn that there are pressure points that are unavoidable, and may be uncomfortable, it is large and will be warm after wearing for a while. Highly recommended!

Straps and Velcro confusing. Sizing off.
Returned. I wear a size 12 jean or dress or a M or L pants or shirt. Ordered the XL based on item recommendations and it was too tight around the waist and not comfortable, also no directions. Ordered a XXL and it was just not comfortable, ok at waist but long and the shoulder/upper part was too hard to figure out how to wear correctly. Directions were for the wrong item this time. Returning both.

I broke my back in a car accident and after surgery received a clamshell brace that was so uncomfortable and dug into my hips, causing more pain than my back. As soon as I felt strong enough I ordered this brace. Unfortunately, the medium was so small on my 30.5″ waist it only had an inch overlap to secure with. I had a little trouble communicating with the sellers about the problem, but am glad I gave the Large a try. With the aluminum bars bent to fit the contours of my back, this brace gave me the amount of support I needed and for the most part was very comfortable to use and it allowed me to advance in healing.A couple of things I want to mention to the seller or manufacturer:The LARGE’s straps were still rather short, so I suggest that they lengthen them on future manufactured braces, or include velcro extensions for the straps. Seriously. I’m tall and slender, and I only get a half inch overlap from the fasteners. Any tighter and it’s uncomfortable where they removed and replaced my left back rib for anterior spine surgery. If it’s not fitting me well, there’s no way it’s going to be comfortable for a person with even a slightly larger girth.The other issue is that while the model’s brace shows smooth lines in the shape of her torso, mine bunches up and constantly needs to be straightened, the elastic bulges out from the tighter edge trim. This is kind of disappointing because it sticks out when wearing underneath a shirt and over a tank top.

Wayyy small – sizing info poor – BUT a good brace
The sizing info is way off. Amazon gave a notification when I bought “frequently returned item” – 2 things helped me – my wife bought one a culé of years ago. I tried hers (she’s 5’6” 122 lbs) it was wayyy small f me , but when I looked it said Large. OK – I’m 5’11” weigh 180 have a 35” waist. The sizing info had me as a Large – after trying my wife’s I said – no way – I tried to order an X-Large but no stock. So, I thought I’d take a chance and go XX-Large. Thankfully, I did, because even that is pretty tight. It works anf fairly well designed, but not as good as the one my wife bought 2 years ago.Other braces have the Velcro better distributed, so that if you wanted to relax the belt (say, while you were trying to eat) you could loosen and attach anywhere. Not this one. It attaches only at designated points which are not generous, and you have to completely let the brace go slack and fall off. Not great. Nevertheless, wearing it stretched tight and fully attached, it works and is not uncomfortable. Trying to eat while it is stretched tight is not comfortable, however.

Way too small around the waist, too long through back, metal stays are FLAT and inflexible, hot
Way too small around waist, too long through back,metal stays are FLATI ordered the small. My waist is 27″. I’m 5’5″ with a high waist. I could barely get the brace closed for the photos, and I had to compress my waist to get it around. I might try a larger size if the back wasn’t so long and the metal stays weren’t flat. When you take the stays out, it becomes useless. It seems well made for the price, but, as a professional corset maker, I am quite bemused as to why they would make flat metal stays that run the length of the spine. Maybe if you replaced the flat stays with spring steel it could be tolerable. Otherwise it’s like being strapped to a gurney. Definitely order a size or two up if yo are going to risk it. There are no stays anywhere else in the brace so it buckles at the sides. It’s hot and uncomfortable. It has felted sleeves to cover the straps under the armpits, but they are hot and the straps still bind and rub. Overall, I would not recommend this. It’s unlikely to fit, and if it does, it won’t do much good.

I have scoliosis and a severely tilted pelvis. This was suggested by my surgeon. I love love love it! It’s changed my life. Easy to fit following the instructions given under the item on line and so comfortable. I remove the back steel rods ( just push out) to wear out shopping, walking,dancing and much more. I can now bend to feed my 20 stray cats!! I am short waisted so my brace comes up a little higher but also gives me a fantastic bust line and a waist like Cher! So happy to look more normal, build muscle to reduce my pain and live a more normal life. Don’t suffer for 5 years as I did. I never want to take it off.

Great product but the sizing is wrong .I’m normally a large ordered a XL should have ordered XXL. But I am wearing it and the support although a wee bit tight is great. The arm straps pinch under the arms .. but other that have got relief from my back pain !

As I have a crumbling spine, it gave me no support at all and was to small and was difficult to wear would not recommend it at all unless you are a midget waist of.money
