Very safe bar
I had Handy Man install this bar on a single step from my breakfast room to my den after I had surgery. What a great grab bar, and Handy Man knew it was rated to over 200 lbs and what to install it with to secure it. Probably don’t need it now, but I’m older so wisdom tells me to use it.

Decent grab bars
I prefer 1 1/4-inch diameter grab bars, stainless steel, with a textured gripping surface. These Munzong bars match those requirements. They appear to be made well, and appear to be strong enough for the task, if secured well to the wall. The downside for me is that where other grab bars have the attachment flanges welded to the curved ends, the Munzong flanges are attached with a single center bolt. Also, the diameter of the circular flange plates on the Munzong is smaller than the flanges on the welded bars. That’s only an issue where you’re going to mix and match different styles of grab bars in the same area. And, the flange diameters are not obvious in the descriptions. The clue is that the Munzong fastener kits will include two hex-head machine bolts. An additional concern is the finish. The Munzong ads say “stainless steel” but the finish appears to be chrome–noticeably shinier than the typical stainless steel finish. So mixing and matching with a “welded flange” style grab bar will create a visual distraction. I suggest choosing one style for all the grab bars in one location. One other issue is with the cover plates that hide the attachment screws in the flange plates. The typical cover plates on “welded-on” flange designs have dimples that snap into place on the plates. The Munzong cover plates on the 24-inch bars I received are not a tight fit, so they require gluing in place to hold them in position. So, if you choose the Munzong style bars, be prepared with clear bathroom sealer to glue them in position And if you choose the “welded on” style, be aware that the cover plates are captured on the bar. To keep the plates out of the way when fastening the bars to the wall, temporarily hold them in the middle of the bar with electrical tape.
