Customers say
Customers find the alarm easy to install and use, with good quality and value for money. They appreciate its security features, effectively scaring away intruders, and one customer mentions it’s excellent for preventing children from leaving the house. The loudness and functionality receive mixed feedback – while some find it very loud, others say it doesn’t work properly, and while some say it works great, others report it doesn’t work on doors. The stickiness and battery life are also mixed aspects, with some praising the strong self-adhesive properties while others say it doesn’t stick, and some noting the batteries drain quickly.

Must Buy
I purchased this for my father who has dementia, and let me tell you it is very loud and is extremely helpful. When he tries to open the door and wander the alarm makes him alert and he closes it immediately.

Amazing!
This definitely gives me a peace of my mind for living in a house w kids. I have this on all my doors. Very loud. Does the job.

Loud and deterring for kids especially
We use this on doors for intruders. It is a great shrill sound that travels the entire house. Downsides are the ease of removal since you adhere with 3m tape. And the batteries are finicky. Also easy to disarm which isn’t good if you have kids that are causing issues in the home as they can stop the siren.

Its very good
I bought this door alarm as extra protection for my home, and it really has a loud sound that you’d hear even if someone opened your door or window even while you were asleep. However, since it’s battery-powered, you’ll need to be careful to have extra batteries.

Toddlers stayed in their room!
We have struggled for years to get a full nights sleep, to keep our toddlers (2 & 4) in their room at night and out of things that aren’t safe, out of food they could choke on, etc. and we had unfortunately resorted to switching the doorknob to lock them in their room from 9pm-5am (the average hours they actually slept) and it weighed on my heart and mind heavily until I learned that not only is it a violation of several fire codes but could resort in CPS paying a visit. I did my research and found this alarm, I ordered it on Tuesday and it said it wouldn’t be here until Sunday. It got here Friday! I installed it, and realized that the doorframe sticks out roughly an inch from the door, so the magnet sensor wasn’t flush with the alarm. I didn’t have any spacers and it didn’t come with any, so I took a cardboard Amazon box, cut out 4 pieces that were the size of the alarm, taped them to together and made a spacer. It worked perfectly! A little tacky looking with my improving, but it does the job and that’s all I care about! Believe it or not, we laid the boys down at 8:30 (I also ordered blackout curtains for their room which got here Friday as well and hung those up hoping they wouldn’t pull them down and would sleep better)… after they heard that alarm when I turned it on, they literally went straight to sleep, didn’t talk to each other, get out of bed a single time, and I kid you not they stayed in their room until NINE AM!!! I’m shocked. Best sleep I’ve had in years. They opened their door this morning one time while I was nursing our youngest around 8:30am and immediately shut the door and ran to their bed! 🤣 I laughed SO hard and just pumped my fist in the air like a dweeb. I’m so thrilled! Now the only disclaimer I have- the package came with 3 alarms, I installed one in their room, one on the front door, and one on the back door. After I realized I needed a spacer for it to work, and made one myself and was reinstalling the one in the boys’ room, I pushed too hard on the alarm and sensor to make sure it stayed in place on the cardboard and ended up unfortunately messing it up to where it just made a crackling sound rather than a loud beeping 🤣😳😓 so I took the one off the back door and put it in their room, and I’ll order some more. So don’t push hard on them, that double stick tape has an extremely strong hold and doesn’t need a lot of pressure at all to stick good. Also if you have kids, place the alarm at the very top of the door where they can’t reach it. I am one happy mama and customer!

Notre enfant fait du somnambulisme et a tenté de sortir de la maison, ce qui m’a paniqué, nous avons installé ce mécanisme après la porte et dès que la porte s’ouvre, le mécanisme Crit et nous réveil. j’adore.

These work extremely well and are very loud.I installed in my apartment on my emergency exit door and my balcony door. I have a 2 year old nephew who has learned to open doors. I have traditional exterior doors on both these locations and the handles and dead bolts are a little lower than standard. Which make them perfect height for a 2 year old… while it’s funny but not funny, after being successful at opening the balcony door with the standard door knob many times within seconds of stepping into the kitchen or answering the front door. The sudden, loud and alarming noise scared the hell out of my nephew and me. But happy to report that one time was enough to discourage him from opening doors he knows he’s not allowed to open. #scaredstraight #IthinkIpooped

Super easy to set up. I wanted this because my toddler learned to open the front door. I want to be sure that if I’m in another room and she opens the door I’ll know… and this alarm does the job! If I like that I can turn it on and off as well.

If you want a high-tech alarm that works with your smartphone, this product ISN’T it. However, if you’re content with a low-tech device AND you’re willing to make some minor adjustments to your door frame, then this can work well for you.PROS:1. The alarm is LOUD and will not only scare the would-be thieves away, but it will also scare you as well. Imagine the loudest bird chirping that you’ve ever heard – that’s how it sounds2. The profile is relatively small, unobtrusive and quite pleasant to look atCONS:1. The installation on a regular door is NOT as straightforward as “peel-and-stick”, as the vendor would have you believe. The base and the sensor need to be in the same plane, with very small tolerance. I had a 1/4″ offset and that was setting off the alarm continuously, so I had to carve a little indent in the door frame to “sink” the sensor below the surface to make it work (see picture). For another door, a sliding door, I had to build a 1/4″ thick base for the product, to raise it to the level of the sensor because in that case I couldn’t dig into the door’s track to bury the sensor below the surface. So you’ll need to do a little bit of woodworking – nothing that a respectable do-it-yourselfer couldn’t tackle, but you need to allocate some time and effort. It’s annoying that the product’s designers didn’t foresee this problem2. Once installed on the vertical surface of the door, changing the 3 small batteries will come with some cursing. You’ll have to hold the 3 batteries in place while at the same time try to slide the cover over them. Hopefully this doesn’t need to be done very often.3. The ON/OFF micro-switch would have been best placed at the front of the alarm, rather than at the side of it as the designers decided to do. Due to shading and the very small writing, it’s next to impossible to read which position of the switch is ON as opposed to OFF. And because different doors open in different direction, you can’t just make it a simple rule such as “up is on, down is off” because the alarm could be upside-down on some doors. To solve this issue, I added a sign with a bell icon and an arrow, indicating how the switch has to be for it to make the noise.4. It cannot be armed when you’re away without setting it off both when you leave and when you arrive, so this is mainly good to be used as a night time “sentinel”.So with these adjustments, and IF I remember to arm each door every night, I have a good, cheap security system.
