My back door from garage grab bar.
Just big enough at 12″ to steady me as I fuddle with door key standing on step, and hoist myself into house (It must be that most step’s heights are designed for 6″ builder or architects?) …and I hold on as I descend from house too. Great to help us to smartly age in place as long as we can. The color black does not look like a bathroom grab bar, and the no slip grip in the middle of the bar is a must in wet weather. If I had wall space for front step I’d put one there too. If you are looking to get an smaller grab bar, I can vouch for this one – sturdy and works really well. Son put the bar in no problem on sturdy walls pace next to door in garage.

Finally got the bar I needed, this one is low profile and sturdy, the Moen ones I ordered appeared strong but they were to bulky in size and would have been intrusive on the wall in my bathroom. The non-slip feature in the middle of this bar is an added plus
