Great set of headphones in a market of their own when it comes to capability. If your Bluetooth device transmits in the codecs it uses then these sound great whether watching TV or listening to music. ANC is pretty good as well. Picked up one in each available color. My black set had a spot or two of lubricant on them. I noticed on another review someone stated the same. I reached to the manufacturer to inquire why even though I remember in the past when Ankbit sold these that someone complained in a review that the hinges squeaked. Something that I did noticed not at first but later on when I read the review. Didn’t bother me. Wasn’t noticeable when listening to music or TV. I guess they used theirs for primarily calls. So with that said the manufacturer responded back saying the lubricant is a non toxic food base silicone lubricant for you guess, the hinges and what not. I guess they read that review too. They said they would advise production of the situation. In the meantime I could just simply wipe off. It wipes off easily and they even tried to offer me a little compensation for the inconvenience. Another thing about these is that I have a normal size head if not big and I don’t have to adjust the band at all. If you have a small head there is no adjusting down to fit. These fit my normal sized ears. Someone in a review said they have big ears and the cups didn’t fit around them. My other sets lasted about two years with daily use when cracks started to develop at the joints which I did glue to fix. The batteries continue to hold their charge and the leather ear cup pads have yet to deteriorate. Unfortunately Ankbit said they were unavailable for sale. So I was happy to see 1Mii had them back on the market again. I can happily retire my old headphones and still use them as backups I guess. I hope they’ll be replacements available in a couple of years too.

I didn’t want to spend this much. I got more than I paid for.
This is my initial review.I bought these because they support the aptX HD codec. So, let’s see how they sound.Connected them to my Samsung Galaxy, which I use for all my audio. It connected at aptX HD. Much better then the other phones I have tried.Connected them to the BT transmitter I have on my computer. Again, at aptx HD, better then the others. But to access the EQ function, you need to download the app. OK.It got stuck at “CONNECT” on my Samsung. OK, I deleted the connection on my phone, then clicked “CONNECT” on the app.It glitched for a millisecond, displayed LDAC, connected, sputtered for a second, and then…WOW! The sound was crystal clear, full audio spectrum, deep bass and clear mids and highs. If you’re not sure what i mean by “aptX” or “LDAC”, they are Bluetooth “codecs”. aptX is lower high fidelity, aptX HD is higher CD quality, and LDAC is lossless high fidelity, licensed by Sony. You need to find what your phone or other sound source can handle. The audio engineers at Samsung really did their homework. These headphones were more than acceptable at the aptX levels, but totally blew me away at LDAC.I also appreciated the audio levels were fairly flat out of the box. A slight bit bass heavy, but I like it that way. But the mids and highs were nice and smooth, not blaringly crass like others I have tried. The cushions are also large enough for my elephant ears, and are very comfortable for long listening times.I haven’t used the volume controls. They are generally clumsy on these phones, and instead of altering the volume you usually wind up skipping forward or back. I use the app I’m using to control volume. They do have Active Noise Cancelling, but I find it dims the audio quality, and for me, the cushions fit tight enough to block outside noises. It does work well, but I don’t think you’ll need it.For wired headphones my go to is Koss Porta-Pros. These match them, albeit $20 more. They also stay connected a few feet further that the others I’ve tried.Overall, I’m more than happy. I was considering other famous “brand name” phones, and I’ve had their wired versions in the past, but they lag in the codecs they support unless you pay a hundred more, or even more. These come very close to the audio quality of their wired versions that cost considerably more.I seek the highest audio quality for what I can afford. These surpassed my expectations.
