These work great, just make sure they are professionally installed with wood backing so they can handle the weight.

Very strong, easy to install, reasonably priced.
I installed them as directed. They are very solid, attractive and useful. I did tried them out by watching the person I was trying to protect as they moved around the house. The ‘bars’ are now where the person normally looks for support. I found the bars especially useful around stairs.

Hole Pattern!
The hole pattern on the mounting plate is such that one screw will always miss the stud! Also the screws that came with it are not of very good quality. The head strips off with power driver very easily. Use your own screws and drill another hole in the mounting plate, the grab bar and the person using it will be happy!

Working very well for handrails to shower
I am using these vertically to go into the wall in shower. They work wonderfully. I have 2 more to go in around the toilet area when we get to that part of bathroom renovation. They look great too!
