Customers say
Customers find the handrail to be of excellent quality, easy to install, and helpful for various uses, with one mentioning it’s particularly useful for post-hip replacement recovery. The product provides stability, with one customer noting it helps steady their balance while using the bathroom. They appreciate its foldability, with one mentioning it’s convenient for cleaning around the toilet/Bidet. The sturdiness receives mixed feedback – while some find it very strong, others say it doesn’t add stability. The screws length also gets mixed reviews, with some finding them very secure while others express concerns about them coming out of the wall.

Very Handy
This hand rail fit our needs perfectly. There isn’t much room between the toilet and bathtub and we need access to that part of the tub, this is perfect!Well made, easy to install. One thing to keep in mind is… there was carpet in the bathroom but it flooded so we had to remove the carpet so now it’s a little short but I put something underneath the leg, not a big deal.

Super heavy duty…..but, inadequate installation hardware
This safety bar is super heavy duty, built like a tank. For utility in design, I’d love to give it 5 stars. I’d say it would be almost impossible to break, as long as pressure is applied directly down onto it.****However, I am very concerned any lateral pressure will rip it out of the wall due to the hardware provided to install it. What a disappointment for an otherwise stout product. The bar comes with six hollow wall anchors (you only need four, but they supply 2 spares). The anchor screws are long, flat head wood screws, which could do double duty if you are able to install in a stud. If you can hit a stud with one side of the bracket….Do It!!Due to the location of our toilet, I did not have the option to install into a stud. We have 5/8th” Sheetrock, which is very stout. However, despite screwing it as tight to the wall as possible, the bar still feels wobbly if any side to side pressure is placed on it. I messed up by not trusting my initial inclination that the supplied anchors might not hack it.Here’s what I’d suggest during installation:1. If you’re going to need to use hollow wall anchors, save yourself some frustration. I’d suggest not using the supplied wall anchors. Go buy 4 heavy duty toggle bolt hollow wall anchors, or something other than the anchors supplied. The provided anchors just don’t hack it. However, you’ll need to take a couple of things into consideration. First, the screw holes in the bracket are close to the edges of the bracket. So, if you get too large a toggle bolt, the holes you drill in the wall may extend out beyond the edges of the bracket and be partially visible. Not a good look. Also, the bracket holes are angled and are designed to accommodate a flat head screw head. When installed, the provided screws are recessed and are designed to provide a firm fit and add to stability. Try to find an anchor bolt that has a screw head that fits the bracket holes as closely as possible. When I uninstall this bar after surgery, I’ll find a better anchor solution and reinstall it. I’m going to take the bar with me to the hardware store and get the tightest hardware fit I can find.2. Put some painters blue tape on the back of the heavy duty bracket, or on the wall, as you try to position it on the wall. The bare metal bracket will easily scar the wall. If you can have someone hold the bar and bracket in place while you measure and install it, all the better! When you get the bar level, with the support leg firmly on the floor, push a small nail through center of each of the screw holes in the bracket in order to mark the wall. Remove the tape, drill the four anchor holes and you should be good to go.3. Don’t trust the measurements in the instructions (By the way, you will have to convert from centimeters to inches. If you don’t have a conversion calculator, just ask Siri). The top of the bar’s bracket is listed as 79cm, but I found it actually was several cm lower. There is even a warning on the installation guide that the measurements may be a few cm off. Put the bar on the wall and get it level with the floor with the drop down support bar firmly on the floor before you start drilling!4. One of the big selling points of this bar is that it not only folds up, it rotates sideways in order to lay flat against the wall. Here’s the issue. The bar fits very tightly in the pivoting part of the bracket and takes quite a bit of force to twist sideways, which puts huge torque on the bracket where it connects to the wall. If you are using the provided hollow wall hardware, you are going to rip it out of the wall in short order. I can only fold the bar up against the wall, but dare not try to twist it flat against the wall. GET BETTER HARDWARE!!At the end of the day, the bar itself is super stout. However, it fails when it comes to installing it in Sheetrock with the supplied hardware. Note to the manufacturer…..charge $2 more and provide decent hollow wall installation hardware.

Retractable hand rails
Super nice product! Told the installer the problems others had with screw failure and he used different screws. All worked well for me after my total knee surgery and beyond. Would recommend, taking note to use better hardware for installation.

Sturdy and convenient
Just got it today. Seems stronger than advertised. I’m impressed so far.Update: Absolutely satisfied. It’s super strong and so convenient when I mop the floor I simply lift it up. Just a note, if you are not as strong as you once was, get someone to install it. It must be attached to the stud. ( I wouldn’t trust my bones to a little plastic thing in the drywall) Otherwise the screws could come out of the wall . Then you would end up on your keester.

Excellent Quality
I bought the grab bar after having spinal surgery, due to a military service injury, and still having issues getting up from the toilet. I had the bar installed professionally. The bar took about 20 minutes to install. Several things that attracted me to the this design is the 90 degree vertically, stainless steel, and the antimicrobial nylon. The bottom doesn’t skid and the bar is easy to grasp while getting up. I am 5”11 and weigh 179 pounds and it holds my weight easily. Overall, I am very impressed by the design, quality, and features of the grab bar and recommend it to anyone that struggles getting up from the toilet.

Better hight and quality + better condition , bathroom hand rail .
I purchased this needed item on May 27 2025,this for my elderly Mom.This was at least to me ,not difficult at all to install, dough I must say the top bar was and still is slightly unaligned but as said ever so slightly. It is of course taller than the one previously installed, The smaller previous one was also purchased at Amazon, It arrived with the plate bent, and a very lose support leg. I spent-ed some time using my gate as leverage in order to fix this, plus ended up putting a plastic shim on the support leg area eliminating the wobbling completely, this last, was a real pain in the tush but doable. Planing on getting another one from same seller to replace the shorter one .

Works well
Installed on drywall, no stud. The screws supplied probably would not hold. The snap toggles from Lowe’s worked great. Very easy install. Would recommend.

Nice product, but horrible mounting instructions and hardware
Nice product, but you must install at least two screws on the 2×4 wall studs or it will not be sturdy, the enclosed mounting fasteners are a piece of junk and do not work, I had to purchase better screws for the wood and a clamp type drywall screws for the wall, in addition the picture shows 6 holes, only comes with 4 holes. I made it work and my customer likes it, but remember, Install on the 2×4 wood and get better screws.
