There are two in the set, this jar opener worked for me the first time I used, just yesterday – is well made & I expect it will continue to work. This opener is the best I’ve tried, only one other worked at all & that was a struggle!

These openers are fairly heavy for what they look like in the pictures; it seems to bode well for their durability. They take a little getting used to for placing them on the lid-to-be-opened, but once there a counterclockwise twist brings the lid right off. They are designed to clamp down/across the lid with a counterclockwise turn. So far, they’ve opened the several things we’ve tried them on, which has been mostly metal lids. They seem like a decent value at $9.99 for the pair.
