Great for elderly parent
I got this smart pill dispenser for my mom, and it has made a huge difference in how we manage her medication. She finds the voice-guided setup easy to follow, and the on-device reminders are clear and effective. I love being able to check her dosage history and get notifications through the app, which gives me real peace of mind. The pill trays are well-designed and keep everything dry, which is important in our humid climate. Refilling is simple, and the app makes it easy to adjust her schedule if needed. It’s one of the best tools we’ve found to support her independence while staying connected.

Solution for seniors, but needs to be managed by technology savvy caregiver.
This product needs to be set up by somebody who is technology savvy before it can be used by a senior patient. The advantage is that children can track the dosage for their senior parents through the app. It seems like a good solution for someone who is not living with caregivers, but someone needs to set up this device and also fill it correctly.I had got this for myself to remind me of my dosage specially, for medications that I need to take throughout the day and sometimes miss taking them on time. I was really surprised at the size and weight of this pill dispenser and the complicated set up process. It needs to remain connected to electricity and has a battery back up for power outage but once you miss a dose for a day that throws off the schedule for the tray. Adding or changing medications from a tray is also a little more complex.Since this product was for myself use, I have just stored it away, and I am still using my manual pill cases. This device is too big and heavy for only 14 day supply for twice a day. I can get the same dosage set up in two small square pill boxes that are also travel friendly. It might be useful for a very specific purpose, but requires a lot of work. It’s definitely not simple.

A solution looking for a problem? Skip!
Technologies provide many solutions for problems, which benefit our daily life. However, this Smart Pill Dispenser isn’t one of them.I’ve never seen anything this complicated – and its targeted users are mostly seniors – while the tasks could be achieved with a simple and straightforward pillbox that’s easy to refill and dispense.First of all, you must set up the dispensing system via WiFi or bluetooth, which is so tedious and annoying. Most of the targeted users are seniors, who would not be able to set this up on their own. Secondly, they’ll have to learn the operation of this system to receive their dosage at the correct time. Thirdly, if they missed a dosage for any reason, the 14-dosage per tray will mess up the day of the week, no longer representing 2-week of dosages. Finally, it requires another adjustment of the multiple 14-dosage trays every time there’s a change in the medications, which could drive you crazy. Not to mention how expensive this “smart” product is! It also requires electricity to power a simple task that could be done manually. Imaging when there’s a power outage….you’ll need to rely on the spare batteries to save the day! Not a “Green” product!Basically, this “solution” is making a rather simple and straightforward pill dispensing task unnecessarily complicated for the intended users. I’ve been taking care of our 91-year old grandma for 30 years, and 5 clearly labeled traditional pill boxes have followed her everywhere, everyday, without failing her medication routines. When she got to the point she needed someone to supervise her medication intakes, I was able to easily takeover the task and making sure she never missed a dosage. My thought for this “smart” product is: keep it simple, especially for products targeting seniors. I gave up setting this pill dispensing system, and went back to the tried and trusted traditional 7-day pill boxes. With 5 of them, we have the monthly dosages in control, never failed!

Solid idea, could be more user friendly
It’s quite large so make sure you have the counter space near an outlet to store this. It’s built well and functions as expected. The set up can be confusing for some which may defeat the purpose for the targeted audience. Another review mentioned the WiFi needing to be 2.4 and if you need a machine to remind you of what pulls to take and when, I doubt you’re going to know what 2.4 is and how to differentiate that from whatever WiFi you’re already using. Great idea and large storage capacity but the set up may be too complicated for who it was designed for.

Great for elders
Great for elders to help with taking the right medicine on time. Has 3 drawers for three day periods amd can hold 14 days worth of medicine. Connects to wifi and has an app too to help with setup and to get reminders. Saves you time by filling up all your medicine for the next 2 weeks at once rather doing it every week.

Very happy! Nice device, no subscription!
Received this yesterday, so far so good! It seem very well made. It’s straight forward to use, I have lots of pills to manage and I have been having trouble keeping them straight lately. The documentation seems good and very well translated. I wish I had a fourth tray or that I could fill every other but as it currently operates it seems that you can only have one grouping of pills setup per tray. A very minor complaint is that the screen remains lit at all times, so if you have it in your bedroom that might not be optimal. It’s dim but on, fortunately I wear an eye mask. Also, the compliance report on the app appears to be based on a timezone 12 hours off EDT. I’m emailing support on these two items. Runs on AC adapter but takes 4 AA batteries for backup in case of power outage. Setup can be done completely on the device or in combination with the app. You’re able to view adherence over the internet. (You do not have to be on the same network.) I think that covers everything I was looking at on reviews for inferior dispensers. You can put it in “sleep mode” for times you’ll be away from the device. You may also dispense remotely. I’ll add to this if anything comes up.
