You can’t lay them on the page to magnify it. Must be held at a distance as most magnifyiers of this type.

Like other magnifiers, you must hold suspended in the air to magnify; not just “lay on page”
VERY MISLEADING wording in my opinion. These work the same way as any other page magnifier–NOT by just laying one on the page, but by inconveniently holding it suspended in the air above the page. I picked this specifically because of the website description/claim saying: “…Magnifier Lenses LAY ON PAGE, MAGNIFYING Fine Print.” To me, this sounds like you (by some special technology) get significant magnification by simply laying the magnifier on the page, so I bought it for that reason. NOT SO. I found no significant magnification whatsoever by using the “lay on page” technique described on the website ad. Very misleading. HOWEVER, if you just want a run-of-the-mill fairly small page magnifier to hold up in the air the entire time you are reading, then you won’t be disappointed as that’s what’s you’ll get, plus you do get several pieces for a low price.

You have enough pieces to start with. It can be used as a bookmark. Magnification is good for reading. A nice tool to help with aging eyes. Nice package value.
