Easy Interface, Connection and Incorporation
I love these LCD’s, currently tested a couple of them (didn’t want to open all of the packs), connected it up to I2C with my pi pico breakout board, ran the raspberry pi pico example i2c 1602 project and worked flawlessly. I love using these for simple electronics projects that just need some form of output or confirmation of button presses / etc. One common use is for making simple room temperature monitors, literally just take any SBC with wifi, hook up your favorite temperature sensor, toss one of these things on and there you go, temperature monitor for each room at a very low cost.

Works great with my old 1602s
I have a small collection of 1602s from before I2C was the new ubiquitous hotness, so they’re missing this module that nearly always come included with newer packs of 1602s. I do like freeing up my IO pins, and these modules do a wonderful job of doing that. I2C chain all the things!Tested 1 and it worked exactly as expected.
