Despite what some people have written these pads are high quality (and are sold for a great price). The box comes with 16 total, and should last over 2 months of daily use if you take the time to care for them. Like all things, you need to take care of them to maximize their longevity. My guess is that people who complain about them expect them to work perfectly without additional effort, and either assume that their bodies don’t produce grime, or fail to think about it. For those oblivious to the mechanics of sticky things: The reason why the pads loses their stickiness is because stuff (like your dead skin an hair) has stuck to them and so there is no more room for additional things to stick! With proper care I have used the same set of pads for nearly two weeks (twice daily). This is how I do it:1. Directly after use, remove the pads and wash them in cold running water using your thumbs to scrub the gel surface (warning: the pads will feel slimy, and that’s OK). Doing this removes dead skin, hair, sweat and dust. It also introduces moisture back into the gel which is what helps make the pads stick and conduct electricity!2. Shake the pads of excess water and then place them on a paper towel (sticky side up) for a minute or two. Once the excess water has been removed, transfer the pads to a hard flat surface (sticky side up). Use a few drops of water on the sticky side and press them flat (I use my kitchen counter to do this because it keeps them from forming unwanted curves).3. Let the pads dry (undisturbed) for about 2 hours (longer is OK, but not too long).4. Place the pads back on the clear plastic sheet.5. Repeat after each use.The instructions say to only place a few drops of water to restore their stickiness, but I have found that you can submerge them in running water without harming them whatsoever. Once your dead stuff is washed off, and moisture is restored, they will live to stick another day, and another, and another, and another…

I don’t know what “normal” price is, but this seemed more than reasonable. I did check one pharmacy online and the price of the pads alone was the same as this entire kit, so I guess this is great.I think it’s handy to have the extra set of wires, so that was big in my decision to buy the kit instead of just additional pads. Be sure to buy gel as well, cheaply priced and will extend the life of the pads and will increase the power of your unit….and always wash the pads with just a dab of soap and warm water – allow to air dry.

My own particular issue is my herniated disc is close to hairline. I even shaved under my hair. But hair stick and causes them to be less sticky. They can be wiped off per instruction. They work wonderful. Recommend for any muscle pain. It’s a relief, esp a miagraine and shoulder pain.

Note to the seller / manufacturer. The on off button on the pads is on the flat side and when using on the back and sitting down it has gone off a few times. Same on leg where jeans can press the button.I know retooling is a bear but button on the side instead of top would be better.

Good stuff
I use these with my wireless TENS & they work perfectly. Snap & adhesive are strong. If they get less sticky, you can gently wash them with soap & warm water to get off the oils/dead skin & dry on paper towel. It comes with the wires, but I just toss them. Wish there was an option to get them without so it’s not polluting the landfill. Purchased them several times.
