Easier to Grip, Hold, and Control. Light Weight. A Little Bling is Okay. Dishwasher Safe.
Each piece of the Adaptive, Easy Grip 3 Piece Stainless-Steel w/ Plastic Handles Silverware Set (ASIN: B0DYC3R9ZD) is easier to grip and control than standard silverware when one has challenged hands. The grooved plastic of the handles provides greater traction and control. Two different size spoons are included with the fork. Each item can be used in either hand.In addition to providing a little bling to the set, the twisted area of each shaft makes it so that the shaft can be gently bent to better conform to the client’s needs. The stainless-steel should help them last a long time before corrosion becomes a concern.

Good for swollen hands too
I ordered these to stash in our travel kitchen for the days when my hands are too swollen to hold normal silverware–the days when I have to make a can of soup or microwave meals for dinner for my partner and myself because I just physically can’t do more. I don’t love having to do so, but it’s the best option available for me to stay independent. The utensil ends are relatively soft metal and easy to bend if I need to put any real pressure on the fork, say to cut Salisbury steak into bites, but that’s kind of a feature for people who need these more due to tremor than just for the thick handles, as they can be offset like older toddler forks and spoons were, or have a single bend to make them usable by someone who can’t bend their wrist to line the utensil up with their mouth.Like almost all adaptive equipment, they seem to be priced a bit high for what they are, but that’s a factor of there not being as much demand for them as mainstream non-adaptive things. It’s still cheaper than getting these through a DME supplier!
