Fun and easy to set up
We absolutely love our Echo dot!! My favorite thing is the morning and evening routines we set up. My son loves waking up to music and silly facts 😊 it’s a great a size to set up on the nightstand. It was so easy to set up via the Alexa app on my phone, and I love that I can make announcements through it that will be played in my son’s room (time for dinner, time to get your bag for practice, etc). The cute owl voice is perfect for little ones and is so friendly.

got this for my child, and it’s been such a fun and helpful device. The owl design is adorable and kid-friendly. It responds well to voice commands and has parental controls that let me monitor usage. My kid loves listening to bedtime stories and music through it. Clear sound quality and great for safe, kid-appropriate entertainment

Fun, Safe, and Kid-friendly
We love the Amazon Echo Dot for Kids! It’s the perfect mix of fun and function–my child uses it to play music, set bedtime routines, ask homework questions, and even listen to kid-friendly jokes and stories. The parental controls are a huge plus, giving us peace of mind knowing the content is safe and age-appropriate.The colorful design fits right into my child’s room, and the audio quality is great for its size. I also appreciate the easy-to-use alexa app where I can manage settings and time limits. The included 1 year subscription to amazon kids+ adds so much value with tons of books, games and education content.Highly recommend for any family wanting to introduce their child to tech in a safe and fun way!

Perfect for My Son’s Playroom – Fun, Safe, and Super Useful!
We got the newest Amazon Echo Dot Kids (Dragon edition) for my son’s playroom, and it has been a fantastic addition! He absolutely loves the fun dragon design, and I love the built-in parental controls that let me manage content and set time limits with ease. It’s set up with multiple Echo devices around the house, and the Drop In feature has been a game changer—I can check in on him or let him know when dinner’s ready without yelling across the house. It gives us both a little more independence while still staying connected. The included 1 year of Amazon Kids+ is a great bonus—tons of kid-friendly music, audiobooks, games, and learning content that keeps him entertained and engaged in a safe environment. The sound quality is excellent for its size, and Alexa responds well to his voice. Overall, this Echo Dot Kids is the perfect combo of fun, function, and peace of mind. Highly recommend for any family!

Surprisingly loud speaker and fun theme
I just recently purchased this for my son’s 6th birthday to help him have an option for audiobooks, alarm clock, and listening to music and he LOVES it! He greets Alexa every time he gets home and says goodnight to her and gets a bedtime story from her while he waits for me to come read to him and tuck him in. We have successfully added a few Alexa skills (including Big Fart which MAY have been a mistake on my part) and so far they seem to work pretty well.Pros:- Cute dragon theme and image (Alexa introduces herself and says she likes to pretend she is a dragon and has a kid-friendly voice character)- Optional additional Dragon Egg Cradle (have not personally purchased yet but am tempted)- Great resource to allow kids access to audiobooks and learning materials with parental controls through the parent dashboard- 1 year free subscription to Amazon Kids+ which is a great deal if you have an amazon kids tablet already (same price as you already pay for a year and an echo dot? Yes please!)- An avenue for little ones to ask some of their random questions to someone other than overloaded parents- Many cool Alexa skills from independent companies (Math practice games? Yes! Talk to Pikachu? Yes!)- Alarm clock, speaker, nightlight and more in one!Cons:- Alexa can sometimes get very confused. This can be frustrating for anyone, but especially for little ones with little tolerance for the pitfalls of technology. Sometimes she doesn’t hear you correctly and says she can’t do something they know she can do. Sometimes she starts playing music while doing another skill and the speaker just can’t take it. Sometimes she just plain doesn’t listen the first 10 times you try and ask. It’s…….. frustrating and stressful when this happens to say the least. Teach your little one how to reset Alexa if this happens so they can feel in control instead of having a meltdown or running out screaming over her.- Not all of the Alexa skills work quite how they are meant to and will totally mess Alexa up and require a reset and removal of the skill entirely.- Alexa has very specific commands and these can be hard to remember sometimes. Consider writing out or typing up a list of the most common commands for little ones to help them remember the right order of words.- The Echo dot can get surprisingly loud and when you ask Alexa to turn down the volume it is in very small increments so you will need to do it manually if they have somehow turned it up to blasting.- After Alexa’s bedtime has hit she will not respond to any commands or be able to use any skills. This includes asking her to stop playing something she already was, using a nightlight skill, or setting an alarm. The only option you have after her off time is to manually reset it so she goes quiet. The timer options are awesome tools to keep little ones from turning her on and playing with her instead of going to bed, but does restrict some of the bedtime options you could have like the nightlight.Overall, we have loved our experience with this product so far and it has only been in use for about a week (but pretty constantly). We’ll see how this holds up over time!

Great for kids
We put this in the calm down corner and it works great to help the kiddos to re-vaseline their feelings. It’s also fun to have Alexa tell jokes

Kids Echo Dot. Dragon.
Have been working on limiting screen time for our kiddos and this was the perfect solution to help with it. They can play stories or songs they want to unwind to, making evening routine a little less chaotic. Super easy to set up. Sturdy and absolutely adorable dragon design!
