Solid Quality, Good Grip — Worth Replacing the Worn-Out Tips
I bought this 4-pack of ANCKNE walker tips to replace the old, worn-out rubber tips on my father’s walker and also a shower chair that had started slipping more than we were comfortable with. The sizing (1 1/8 inch) was perfect for his standard aluminum walker, and installation was very straightforward — just push and twist with a bit of pressure. No tools needed.What I liked:Grip & Traction: These have a noticeably better grip than the original tips, especially on tile and linoleum. The rubber feels thick and doesn’t skid, even when some water is on the floor.Versatility: I appreciate that it works not just for walkers, but also fit snugly on an old commode chair and a shower seat we had in storage. That made this 4-pack even more useful.Durability: So far (about 6 weeks in), they’re holding up well without visible cracking or flattening — and my father walks daily, inside and out. The bottoms haven’t worn down like the cheaper gray tips we had before.Minor Cons:The rubber is stiff out of the box, so if you’re putting these on a device with less-than-perfect leg ends (rusted or slightly flared), it takes some effort.Slight rubber smell when you first open the pack, but it goes away in a day or so.Bottom Line:A small but essential upgrade for mobility gear.
