Good safety sunglasses with readers built in, and they don’t even cost an arm, never mind the leg!
One of the things I loved about having LASIK was the ability to buy different types of off-the-shelf sunglasses. I still needed readers, though. These combine the close-in reading glasses with the convenience of an inexpensive set of sunglasses. I’ve bought a bunch of them. They’re in pockets on my various coats, they’re by the front and back doors, and they’re in both cars. They make my life so much easier and more pleasant! And at this price, when I wear a pair out or break one, it’s a whole lot less painful to pay for these than it is to replace a set of custom prescription glasses!!The fact that they are also safety glasses is a great plus for me, too! I wear them mowing the lawn, hauling brush, playing with the dog, … I’ve invested a lot in my eyes, and it’s so hard to get spare parts!!

Essential tool for my business.
I own a landscape business in Florida and work outside with power tools 7 days a week. Eye protection is a necessity. I also need “readers”. There are several best features about the Apex eye ware. First, fit, the lenses fit closely to keep out debris. No small thing. And they are comfortable, I wear them 12 hours plus in summer and forget they are there. They are durable and last a long time. They are dark enough to function as excellent sunglasses. They are “clear”, good clear vision and I don’t even notice the transition between near reading vision and far vision. I hope they are always available in this style and this quality. By the way, I don’t get paid anything to say all this stuff, and they don’t provide me glasses in return either. I just feel lucky that I found them. I suppose thanks to Amazon.

Good buy
I wear contact lenses. I use these on my motorcycle. I have a hard time finding sun-glasses, or any other glasses, that seal around the cheeks and eyes without resorting to heavy goggles. These were close but, the bottom outside needs just a little more material going back toward the ear…these almost seal. The reason for the 4 stars is primarily for the bifocal feature. I can finally put in my contacts, have my eyes mostly protected AND read my speedometer on the gas tank. Very functional…now if I can just find the right shape…w/bifocal.Oh, I also don’t like paying more than 20 buks for something I’m probably going to forget somewhere, sit on or watch fall apart after a year.

These are pretty good
I’ve tried a number of different bifocal sunglasses of this type. Next to the Dewalts, and the Coppertones, these are my favorites. They are much better than the Radians and don’t break like those (P.O.S.!) HD Readers. The only thing that I would wish, would be for them to smooth out the transition point in the lenses a bit more, so that there was no little band of distortion right there, AND that they would also extend the bifocal area a bit more laterally, so that one didn’t need to turn one’s head to focus on near objects or areas that are more in the low peripheral fields. This is important when wearing them for driving. Other than that, they have very low distortion in the lenses, are light and comfortable to wear, don’t slip, DO NOT give me a headache while driving, and the frame/lense design gives good lateral protection but does not block the peripheral vision needed for merging and lane changes. All in all these aren’t bad, and the price is really reasonable.

Great deal for when you need to see.
I ride a bike for fun. I need to use reading glasses when I need to see anything within about 2 feet of my eyes. So when I ride my bike I can’t see the odometer. I asked around at various sunglass shops if anybody had bifocals and was told I could order them for $600. dollars!!! Not within my budget so I came here to Amazon. Found these for a fraction of the quoted price from Lens Crafters and I bought them. Now I can check out my riding GPS and look at the traffic ahead safely. I recommend them if you need them.

Good buy
I brought these for when I’m wrenching on cars or just outside working in general. They are just dark enough to cut the glare from the Sun, but not so dark that I can’t see the small details when working. The readers seem to work well too. Strong enough for me to read pretty much anything I might need to while working. Not too powerful like others I have where you need to take them off if you want normal vision.
