This smart hub has worked great so far and was incredibly easy to set up right out of the box. It connected quickly to my existing devices, and I love that it integrates seamlessly with Apple Home. Setup was quick, and it instantly recognized my Aqara devices. The M100 runs smoothly with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Home Assistant — no lag or dropouts. I like that it supports both Matter and Thread, so it’s future-proof and keeps everything on one system. Compact design, quiet, and stable performance. A big step up from older hubs and totally worth it if you’re building a smart home that just works.

Loved at first, then quickly it became a pain in my rear
I expected more from Aqara. I like their products a lot but this one for now has been a huge failure. Worked great for a couple of days. Now it lives in the offline world. I unplug it and replug it, comes online for around 10 mins and then just drops back out again. Aqara needs to fix this issues with the M100 hubs. I do like the size and the fact that it can be a Thread router. It lives on an outlet so I do not need to worry about any batteries dying. But it dies anyways ugh.

Actually a great way to get started with thread devices, however for more advanced users, you are locked into using the aqara app if you use this hub.

Works, at least with Matter
I am using this as a Matter over thread border router with home assistant. I plugged it in, added it to the app, added it to home assistant (it has to be in that order), and then it just worksed. No issues after that, no additional setup, haven’t even had to open the app again.

Perfect to extend Aqara zigbee signals
This worked great out of the box! Setup was easy, connectivity is flawless. It was a good deal for prime day. I needed this to expend my zigbee range of my m3 for devices on the opposite side of my house. I have quite a few no neutral switches so the Aqara H2s were not passing on the signal. The other side of my house now has great zigbee signal strength.

Aqara is not user friendly
Seems to work fine. Video was helpful. BUT…overall the aqara system is VERY hard to set up and use if you aren’t familiar (which I am not) with terms like “thread” and “zigbee”. Same goes for the sensors. I bought this since two leak detectors weren’t able to remain online. Nowhere did it say “this functions as a network extender”, but I thought I’d give it a try. First sensor linked up fine. Second one caused the m100 hub to flash red. Nowhere can you find how to interpret that. Brought second sensor close to the main hub (previously installed) and it linked up and maintained connection in its assigned room, but app shows picture of ?? -not the sensor. I could go on, but Aqara is clearly not a product suite like an iPhone that is easy to use – it’s for techies. I didn’t try to set up Apple Home which may have been a mistake. Happy to receive feedback if someone found this to be the right way to go. I have clunky Aqara working (I guess) for what I need.

The Aquara products provide an inexpensive way to monitor sink and hot water heater potential leaking from near or far. There are many more complicated and expensive options but this one is simple, cheap and provides good monitoring without recurring annual monitoring fees. Easy to install smart hub and add water detectors as needed.

同メーカーのローラーシェードドライバーE1（シェードの自動開閉巻取りが目的）が、単体ではスマホでの操作もできないために定時の開閉の設定をするために本製品を購入。他のAqara社のハブでも利用可能ですが、コストを抑えたかったのでこちらにしました。USBTypeAで給電する本製品ですが、コンセントとUSBを繋げるパーツは付属していないので別途必要ですが、今の時代家の中を探せば何かしら余っているUSBケーブルやコネクタは出てくるでしょうから大きな問題ではありません。本体を給電するだけで後はアプリの案内に沿って進めるだけですが、私の場合には設定時、スマホ側で本製品の検索が、はじめうまくいかなかったのでスマホの再起動をした後に、問題なく完了できました。QRコードでの読み取りでも初期設定可能となっていましたが、いまいちそれはうまくいかなかった。本製品は、いわゆるスマートリモコンの赤外線信号を発するタイプではなく、Aqara製品（およびMatter対応品）を操作するものなので、テレビなどのリモコンの代替をしたい場合には、上のグレードの物が必要です。
