Easy to read, very well done illustrations
Even though none of my daughters are autistic, the book Autism Calming the Chaos was very eyeopening to the world of autism, easy to read with very well done illustrations. It helps you understand meltdowns and shows you how to respond in a respectful matter. Great book to teach about autism to people who dont knoe in detail about what autism is.

Helping us with meltdowns
This is the second book we get and my daughter recognizes Adrian in the illustrations already! Although she is not in the spectrum, she has occupational therapies with kids on the spectrum. It has allowed me to not only use the techniques ourselves as a family during a meltdown but to also understand other kids when they have one. Thank you for this. I highly recommend books like this to any inclusive organization or school and to families like ours.

Great help for this Uncle!
This book is awesome! I had no idea what my best friend and his kid go through every day. Its very honest, the drawings are very nicely done, and I’m happy the story helped me understand how I can actually help support them better. Highly recommend it to anyone who has little knowledge of day to day autism.

It offers very clear and straightforward explanations of behaviors frequently seen in neurodivergent children and most importantly offers strategies for how to best manage these behaviors and make sure an autistic child can thrive. Autism: Calming the Chaos has been so useful for me as a grandparent. It helped me better understand my grandson’s autism, it was very hard for me as a grandma to understand autism particularly the triggers behind his meltdowns. The book is both heartfelt and informative, making it easy to relate to and learn from. The practical tips for handling emotional crises have given me the confidence to know what to do if a meltdown occurs at home, park, school everywhere. This book is a must-read for anyone looking to support and connect with a loved one on the autism spectrum like me for my grandsons who has autism. The children story and illustrations are beautiful my grandson loved to read with me and grandpa the story and loved the pictures in the book.

This book is beautifully and compassionately written and illustrated. I recommend it for anyone who wants to better under autism and the way in affects our loved ones. Whether for yourself, your child, family member, or friend, it’s a great resource that makes the topic understandable and approachable. The illustrations are gorgeous and make this difficult topic feel a little more warm and approachable. My 10-year old daughter enjoyed reading the book and said she could use some of the ideas to help her friends and classmates cope better with stressful situations.

I picked up Autism: Calming the Chaos! to better understand what my friend’s child, who’s on the spectrum, goes through, and it was exactly what I needed. We’ve hung out at a few gatherings, and I’ve seen my friend’s kid have meltdowns, but I never really understood what triggered them. My friend suggested the book, so I decided to give it a try. The story is told by a real kid on the spectrum, and it’s super easy to follow and understand. I’m honestly surprised at how informative and empathetic a children’s book can be. I’m sure this book could help promote inclusion and understanding among kids who aren’t familiar with autism.

This book is such a good book for kids with autism, helping them feel understood. It’s also great for other parents like us and even people who aren’t that familiar with autism. I got this book to better understand the autism spectrum, my daughter has two good friends on the spectrum but I wasn’t looking for something too technical or complicated so this book was great to understand autism in a fun and easy way. The story is told from Adrián’s point of view and covers things like nervousness and sensory overload, plus it includes simple calming techniques that can be used everyday. I’m sure parents of kids with autism will really appreciate the practical tips to help their kids through meltdowns and build emotional skills. It’s a great book for fostering empathy and inclusion, making it perfect for families, educators, and anyone who wants to better support children with autism and promote understanding in everyday life.
