Excellent book!
I bought this very well written book for my kindergarten teacher daughter for Christmas. Since schools now integrate childrenon the spectrum with neurotypical children, my daughter has found herself at a loss occasionally as to how to handle thesechildren in certain situations. After looking through this book, she is certain that it will be very useful!

Highly recommended!
This is such an excellent book! If you are new to special education or want to improve your skills in working with special education students, this book will not disappoint. I have read several, and so far, this has been the most helpful and informative. I highly recommend!

I am finding this book very helpful from a layman’s point of view. I’m not a trained special Ed teacher and need much more training to work with the autistic population. What is happening in my district is students on the spectrum are being assigned to regular ed classrooms but teachers have little knowledge about the situation. This book is at least an introduction.

We work together to come up with the best strategies to help him succeed
I’m the mother of a child with ASD. He’s high functioning, but his brain still works differently than that of most of his classmates. As a child with ASD he has an IEP, which means I speak with his teacher, speech therapist, youth at risk counsellor, school psychologist, social skills teacher, and vice principal a minimum of three times a year, but in practice four to five. We work together to come up with the best strategies to help him succeed. This book has helped educate me further. I ‘enjoyed’ it.
