Not the best jar lid opener
Ok not for my issue.Senior with arthritis, didn’t help with small bottle lid as inner grips didn’t go down to smaller size despite images.Be careful to read limitationsDidn’t use at all.Return was easy no fuss.

May not work on jars where the body is a lot bigger than the lid
Nice little gadget. I’m often needing help with jars. It seems to do fine on jars in general. I did have one large jar where the body of the jar is a lot bigger than the lid that I had trouble using this device on. It went all wonky in the process. That may have been user error as that’s also when I was just learning to use the opener, but I think it’s the shape of the jar and that the opener doesn’t like that shape. The funny part is that even though at the end the device wasn’t fully on the jar, it did still open the jar!

    great little helper!
Works great but instructions need improvement. I think you need to set it on the jar and push down on the button to turn it on and hold it until you see your lid turning–don’t let go before that–not sure why 3 seconds is mentioned to release or when one set of jaws starts/stops moving is mentioned. I was very confused as that did not work for my jar but now I figured it out–just hold it till your lid starts turning then you can release. I have a sticky tamarind sauce and no matter how much I try to keep the lid clean that stickiness prevents the lid from turning easily. We always have a lot of trouble with that one so that is what I tested it on and it works! Is it annoying to have to keep track of another little gadget–yes but it is more annoying to hunt down my husband or son if they are even home and waste time when you are trying to cook-so I say get this!

Darn those tight pickle jars. But – bwahahahaha – I got you now!
I never thought I would be the person who needed a jar opener since I rarely encountered a jar that could defy my awesome hand strength… and then I got older. Who the heck puts the settings on jar tightness to “Hercules Strength” at the factories? I have not been able to open a pickle jar from the grocery store in several years now. This jar opener is actually pretty amazing. You set it on the top of a jar, hold the button for about 3 seconds, and the grippers grab the jar and the top part grips the lid and turns. Seems to open everything I have put it on top off so far. This will not work on plastic jars (peanut butter) or small lids less 1.2 inches (some juice bottles), or jars that are larger than 3.5 inches (non that I have). So, there are some limitations. But given that the majority of jars should fit into these parameters, this is a nice tool to have around. Especially if you are losing your hand strength and/or are getting older or you eat a lot of super tightened jars of pickles.

Perfect for Salsa Jars – I love it
I got this nifty jar opener for very hard to open salsa jars. Those jars are vacuum sealed and require a herculean effort to open the cap. All those struggles are gone now; this quality tool can open those containers very quickly with no effort on my part. (see the video)I did have to install two AA batteries to operate it.I love this electric jar opener and fully satisfied it. Highly recommended.
