Customers say
Customers find this dog food supplement to be of high quality with good ingredients, and appreciate that their pets are healthier as a result. The product receives positive feedback for its taste and ease of use, with one customer mentioning it’s easy to make a 5-7 day batch of food. However, customers disagree on whether their dogs will eat it, and some report explosive diarrhea as a side effect. Additionally, the product has a negative smell, and customers find it too expensive for the amount provided.

Great product.
I make my dogs food at home. Nice that you can measure what you need.

Great Stuff
It is a hassle making food for my 65 lb pittie . She is very picky and has lots of allergies. I used to throw out canned dog food that I paid 3dollars a can. No more throwing out since I started cooking her meals. I was skeptical , would she eat the Azestfor? I add it in the daily allotment of her meals and she loves it. Eats it up. No more loose poops to pick up. I have been feeding it for a month now and bought my second bag last week. It makes me feel like I am giving her the necessary vitamins and minerals. It does smell strong which led me to believe she might turn her nose up to it. She eats it up.

Disappointing product.
My dogs will not eat anything with this mixed in. I had to throw away a lot of food my dogs refused to eat while trying this product. Also, $30 seems to be a lot considering the ingredients. The first ingredient listed is “natural veggie flavor”. The word “natural” always was and probably still is completely meaningless in the food labeling context. And what is “veggie flavor”? Seems to be another meaningless term. So the first ingredient — which is the primary ingredient — is a complete unknown and at best provides no nutritional benefit but just flavor (that my dogs hated). The 2nd ingredient listed is chia seeds, which can be purchased for much less than the cost of this supplement. The 3rd ingredient listed is a calcium related supplement, which again can be purchased very inexpensively. My understanding is that after the first 2 or 3 ingredients on a label (at least in dog “food”), the remaining ingredients are so minimal as to be insignificant/inconsequential. I am not certain if it is the same regarding a “supplement” as opposed to “food”.Even if my dogs did like the taste, I probably would not have purchased this product again because the labeling lacks (i) dosage guidelines per pound of your dog or (ii) any percentage indicator regarding minimum daily requirement of vitamins/minerals per serving. Instead, you are required to prepare their recipes, which vary the amount of supplement to include. Much too much work and you still do not know what percentage of the minimum daily requirements are being provided even if you use the suggested recipes.

Good solid supplement to go with real food for dogs
Recommended by a fellow pet lover, who cooks every day for her dogs. I’m sure the nutritional value of the supplement is great! The dogs were more than willing to eat it – especially if it means real food in their dish. Seems to last a long time. I gave it 4 stars because to me it smells like a yeast supplement. I’m not actually sure that’s fair. I gave it 4 stars only because I wouldn’t want to eat it myself.

Delivers what it offers, but a high price for a product my dog doesn’t like
My dog doesn’t like the taste of the food when this is added in, and it smells rather unpleasant to me also. I wish there had been a sample size because I shelled out $55 for a product I can’t use and sadly, returns are not accepted.

Excellent product
This is a great way to make sure your dog’s homemade dog food provides all the needed nutrients. It’s easy to calculate (1.25 teaspoons per cup of food) and it blends in easily. The only thing I should also mention is that the powder does tend to puff, creating a bit of powder-cloud-of-dust in the air when you sprinkle it into the food. Not a big deal, just don’t inhale at that moment so that it doesn’t irritate your sinuses too much. Other than that, this supplement is excellent and I highly recommend! My dog eats up all the food this supplement is added to (we got the chicken flavor).
