Awesome weighted blanket, beautiful color, not too hot
I have been interested in a weighted blanket for awhile, and every time I’ve looked into it, Baloo kept coming up as the best (I especially trust the NYT’s wirecutter reviews.) When I saw their new kid’s blankets, I decided to go for it! My daughter is still a little young, but I loved the pink color, which perfectly matched the upholstery in my reading nook. I figured I could use it until my daughter gets a little bigger.The blanket arrived in beautiful packaging and I have slept with it every night since. It’s amazing!! I absolutely love the weight, and have been shocked that it’s not too hot to sleep with (even on warm nights without AC). I know it’s made for kids, but it actually fits me really well. I included a picture of it on my king size bed for sizing reference. I keep the blanket in my reading nook during the day and use it there too, but have loved sleeping with it at night! After a long day, it’s just really, really comforting. I’ll probably have to buy a second one when my daughter is ready for it because I’m not sure I’ll be ready to part with it!

This weighted blanket is dreamy, literally. Not too big, not too small, not too heavy and not too light. I even found the corner loops to attach to the duvet cover. They’re discrete, and tight, which makes them more effective and durable.

My 10 year old loves this blanket and tries to carry it around wherever she goes. It’s heavy for a child to tote around, so we leave it on the bed. She says it’s her favorite and wants me to buy one for each member in our family!

Best Weighted Blanket Ever
My son is in sleep heaven! He’s been wanting a blanket for so long and was the only one in the family who didn’t have one because he’s a little guy. So grateful they now have these in kids sizes and the color is absolutely gorgeous. It’s so beautifully crafted and just as well made as the other sizes we have. A must for any child!

Love it!
We bought this for our son after his Occupational Therapist suggested it, and it’s made a huge difference. Every time I ask him if he likes his “other blanket” he says, “I do!” After getting in bed he gets calm much faster, generally falls asleep faster, and seems less restless throughout the night. Not everyone responds the same way to weighted blankets, but it’s made a big difference for us. He loves it. (If you’re considering purchasing this for a child, I definitely recommend checking with their pediatrician first!)

Made in China. Crazy Expensive. Does not include duvet / cover.
There is no mistaking that this is a nice weighted blanked. . . but. . . at the current price of 149 bucks for a Made in China item. . it’s super-over-the-top-crazy-expensive. On top of this, it does not have a duvet / cover. . .and it certainly should, for this price. You can find very similar weighted blankets for much less than half the price of this one.Though it’s machine washable. . . it’s not that easy. I have a front-load washer, so it tumbles. I don’t think it would fair so well in a top-load washer. I think it would just sink and sit on the bottom.When you place it in the dryer, it goes kerplunk. . . kerplunk. . . kerplunk. I added a cotton bath towel to help, but it doesn’t really tumble. .. it just stays in a “wad” and goes around.Again. . . It would have been MUCH better to include a duvet / cover. But as it is, you’ll have to purchase one separately, if you can find one the right size. On top of these, there are no loops in the corners of this weighted blanket to attach a duvet.

Super soft material
I bought this for my granddaughter as she has outgrown her previous weighted blanket, which she loves and looks for every single night. I will start with… the reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn’t have a cover. Also, the blanket itself, doesn’t have the little loops which would allow me to tie a cover on it. Especially, with this being for a child, I would prefer something I can stick in any washer and clean it up easily. In my current situation, I live in an apartment where I have one of those super small washers. Mine takes only 11 pounds and this would be way too heavy to wash. If you have a regular washer, you wouldn’t have these issues. Other than that, I must admit that the material is super soft right out of the package. I absolutely love the small storage bag that comes with it. And the packaging, is so carefully thought out. We are happy with this new blanket. I was able to order a cover for it from another vendor so I will work with that. If your situation allows you to wash this blanket much easier than it is for me, I would totally recommend it. Other than mentioned, I am very happy with this weighted blanket.
