Customers say
Customers find the thermal compress effective for pain relief, with one mentioning it works well for 15-20 minute ice therapy sessions after work. The size is praised for covering large areas, and customers consider it well worth the price. While the compress stays cold and is easy to use, customers report durability issues with the material breaking down over time and the product starting to leak.

Works great!
Works perfectly and seems to stay cold a long time. No leaks even after using multiple times. Subsequent to being in freezer, it still molds well around the part of my body that’s being iced. I do need a thin cloth or bandage to place between the ice pack and my skin in order to keep my skin from getting too cold.

This works great hot and cold
After a hard day’s work I heat it up in the microwave and it retains the heat that is needed for my aches and pains. I keep it in the freezer and take it with me when I go grocery shopping to keep my items in my cooler cold until I get home. It’s great for placing in the bottom of a cooler with juice bottles or pop cans, the liquid comes out a little icy and very refreshing.Definitely worth the purchase due to its lightweight durable construction ease of use and functionality are all top notch reasons why this particular item is suitable for many needs.I purchased one for my friend as a gift and she loves hers as well.

exactly what I was looking for
I have been shopping around for a gel ice pack big enough to go over both of my knees. I have patellar femoral syndrome, so my knee caps lack enough cartilage to cushion against friction/rubbing. As a result, I have very sore knees after a long day at work. (I am on my feet all day.)This pack gets very very cold and stays flexible still. I lent it to a relative with a sore wrist and she was able to wrap it almost completely around her wrist. For my knees it works great for a 15-20 minute ice therapy session after work. It’s big enough that I can put my knees together and mold it across both.I haven’t tried to heat the pack up because I bought it solely to be an ice pack.

Well worth the cost
I bought this for a few reasons one being I needed for my migraines (I lay my head on the pack) and this one not only got cold it stayed cold for hours. It also stayed soft and malleable so that laying on it didn’t hurt at all. I could also use it on other parts of the body easily since it would bend and cover areas. I decided to get a second one and another by them that is a bit smaller. The only problem I ran into was one corner leaked a little. I taped it and it’s worked fine with that repair. This is why I didn’t give it a five star rating.

Great for any injury
Perfect for any injury. Easy to store and clean. Be careful as they are fragile but they are very effective.

Excellent!
I purchased two of these to put on my knee nightly. They are superb!! They stay cold for a long period of time and are flat and easy to store in the freezer. I will continue to purchase these in the future.

We’ve got a few of these now. They’re great for injuries and back pain and are used regularly for this through the year. But hot summer nights? These are the best! Pop a frozen one under the pillow 10 minutes before bed; at bedtime, flip the pillow over – oooh, so nice and cold! Leave the gel pack under your pillow and if you wake up warm, just flip your pillow over again for a refreshing cool down.Best hot weather hack ever.

Perfect following my knee replacement op. Large enough to wrap round almost the entire knee.

It’s a nice size 6″x6″ and the insides are gel, so not too liquidy and they don’t freeze all the way so can still be a little squishy if you need to mold it around a shoulder or knee or anything. I like that you can heat it up too, however I generally need cold and haven’t tried heating it yet. I bought a couple of these so I could always have one in the freezer while one is on and then switch it out so I don’t have to wait for it to get cold again. It feels like a good plastic and the seal looks excellent – so far no leaks which is nice.

During 25 years as an adult-onset migraine sufferer, I’ve had many different brands of gel packs that can be refrigerated or frozen. The Caldera gel packs are far and away the best. First of all, they’re a good size for an adult. The outside surface texture is not slick and hard, and does not feel “crunchy” when applied. The Caldera packs are very durable and remain cold for a good period of time. Nothing else I’ve tried (and that would be most of those available) seem to be anywhere near this good. I have only one complaint: they’ve been unavailable for several months. I wish I’d bought a crate! I look forward to the day when I can buy more, and replace some of my old and crunchy gel packs. These have been comfortable, durable, and seem to be well made – they hold their temperature very well for a good long time. They were also affordable, which is something that has to be considered when living on a fixed income. I have not found these anywhere else. Please Amazon, I’d like some more….

i used to use the disposable one use headache patches but they have been discontinued in my area and they are stupidly expensive online so i bought this instead. problem solved and money saved! only used it for cold use and i store it in the fridge and it is nice and cold against a warm head for at least 30 mins!
