Reliable System that Allows the Caregiver Peace of Mind
I had a pressure pad alarm system that I was using but it was not working well for my situation. It was being used in a double bed with two people sleeping at night. It would slip around and be out of place allowing false alarms or it would slip under me and the patient was able to get out of bed without awaking me. It also had the annoying feature of beeping ever time the patient got into bed. She was not fond of that!I started looking for a better solution and decided to try the CallToU Bed Alarm System.First let me start with, the system that was first shipped to me had a problem with the power button sticking in the down position. I contacted Amazon with the intention of returning the item but they suggested I contact the vendor and attempt to get a resolution. I did and I was not disappointed. The vendor emailed me shortly after I stent them a message and requested additional information about the failure and to verify which unit I had purchased. They responded back and said they would ship a replacement pager. It arrived three days later and included an additional motion sensor. Very good customer service! While waiting for the new pager to arrive, I continued using the defective one by messing with the power button each time I did a power on or power off by listening for that little clicking sound when the button was released from the stuck position. It was annoying, but I was able to become familiar with how to use the system to meet my needs. I set one of the motion sensors on the floor at the head of the bed to detect when the patient was getting out of bed and connected it to a usb power cable to save the batteries. During the day, the other sensor is used as a mobile device. If the patient wishes to nap in the bed, I place it on my side of the bed and, when the patient decides to take a daytime nap in a recliner, I place it so I will be paged when she starts to get up. At night, I simply turn off the second sensor to save battery power because she can’t get out of bed except on the side where the usb powered sensor is setup.I did some testing on the angle of the beam and it seems to work as advertised. By changing the angle around, I can avoid setting off the alarm when I need to move about the room where the patient is with out having to turn the pager off. Also, for me, placing the motion sensors on the floor keeps me from getting false alarms when the patient is just moving around on the bed. I use this system in conjunction with a Wi-Fi video camera in each room so when the pager alarm goes off, I can verify the patient is really on the move without having to go to the room. This system works as advertised and can be setup with as many as twenty sensors. So, it can be adapted to many different environments. I also like that the system came with all the batteries needed for the initial setup and included a little phillips screwdriver to change the batteries in the pager. Plus, the belt clip is easily removed to allow for battery replacement.I would like to make a suggestion to the vendor to modify the sensors or the pager to include a delay after the caregiver presses one of the three buttons to cancel the alarm. As it currently works, when the alarm is triggered, I press one of the three buttons to cancel it. However, when the sensor recycles, it triggers the alarm again. The only solution I have discovered to stop repeated alarms while helping the patient is to power of the pager.

Works very well
Bought this to know when my husband, who has Alzheimers, got out of bed & possibly out the front door.Pros: Easy to set up. Works well.Con: Even on lowest setting alarm, ding-dong is still loud. And the vibration sound goes off. Sort of overkill. Would prefer lower alarm & to be able to select vibration only.

Well thought out kit with pager
This two set motion sensor is Awsome the pager is small, light weight with a digital display of settings and notification of which sensor has been triggered allows monitoring of up to 20 sensors on a single pager. Provides two ringtones and a vibrating along with or without ringtones also provides 4 settings for Volume including silent mode or just a vibrating setting. Covers up to 500 feet distance from receiver. Low battery light indicator and the option to connect wired power to sensors (wires not included) The instructions are easy for setup but most impressive to me it includes all batteries in kit along with a tool for opening receiver battery compartment. Very Nice I Highly recommend.
