“IF AT 1st YOU DON’T SUCCEED. . .”
It took 3 count ’em 3, tries to get the right one: But Amazon was right there with me, making the return process simple as usual (over and over). The item itself is as stated; I got it for extra stability using my cane on uneven terrain. I broke me knee cap and for me, the cane is still a must-have for balance. I didn’t want to carry a ‘clunky’ 4-prong cane-too unwieldy. This gives me just what I was looking for, a little more “rubber to meet the road” so to speak. It’s solidly made, and so easy to use, I put it on my cane myself (a chore usually reserved for hubby). It’ll function the way it’s supposed to by helping me walk a much more stable path . And I can’t complain about the price, in this case, I truly think it was money well spent. Leaving us with 2 thumbs up^^ and a very positive review.

Just What I Wanted
I acquired a beautiful carved wooden cane that required an odd-sized tip, 1-1/8 in. This tip came in that size, plus the crimson color looks better on the medium brown wood than a standard black tip. It is also supposed to be designed to resist slipping on wet surfaces, a definite plus. Very happy with it.

best staff attachment ever….. better than the light attachment, better than the toilet seat attachment. 14lbs staff formaly known as 72″ digging bar, this monster staff foot takes away 100% (staff silencer) of the metal clang or what ever sound effect a mass of steel would make but now it has a beautiful bouncy THUD sound. the warrenty is notable aswell….pretty…pretty .. pretty….. pretty good.

My cane measures the same size but the tip is too big. Have to figure out how to make it fit. But I like the over size of it and weight.

Okay so, we’ll start with the positives. This can tip seems incredibly sturdy, and does help distribute weight nicely. I do feel that the size and design adds stability, which I need.However.This thing is tremendously heavy, much more so than I expected. It might work for a wooden cane, or one that is already weighty, but for my carbon fiber ones…I just feel like I am dragging something along. Personally, I definitely feel like the weight is an issue.Additionally, the sizing on these is super weird. I got, I think the smallest size at 3/4” and this tip is absolutely huge. So much so that I struggled to find anything it would fit on. I truly do not understand how there are multiple sizes larger than the one I received, as I cannot imagine trying to navigate around with something that wide and heavy all the time.At time of writing this tip is listed at $19.99, which is I guess is great if it lasts a super long time, but it is also intensely pricey for something of this nature. I cannot imagine repurchasing at that price, even if the fit and weight were better.

Great absolutely awesome the can won’t stand upright all on its own at least not with my 43-in cane but they really do a good job gripping the ground seem to work on a lot of different surfaces

This is a tough decision for a tough item.
Other reviews have done a good job already of posting dimensions and weights so I’ll skip that for you. Also as mentioned, it is indeed a heavy duty cane tip. I think the thought process for you to get this is the “buy once, cry once” mentality. I can see it easily lasting 2 years as advertised. But there are some things to keep in mind before you get this.As others have noted, it is heavy and wide. While that helps with durability and stability, the downside is it will make carrying your cane more burdensome. I have it on a collapsing cane so it makes it nose heavy big time. Not that big of a deal for me, but more elderly or disabled might find it an issue. The width could be a problem as well. I tend to drag it on the ground more so than a tapered fit cane tip (although that’s what I’m used to). It fits well on my collapsable cane but on my solid wood cane with tapered end, it does not fit and slips off. But that’s no fault of the cane tip, just the type of cane is not suited for this particular tip. Oh it has a metal washer inside the tip cup to prevent your cane from puncturing over time which is a really nice feature. I think it’s steel which is good, but make sure to keep it dry to prevent rust. It doesn’t appear to be stainless stell, just a standard mild carbon steel which is prone to corrosion if you don’t maintain it. So take it off every now and then to clear out moisture and debris. (salts can be in dirt) Definately after you take it out in the rain; clean it, dry it. But you could seal it with some caulking on the tip of your cane and you’re set for the next year or two.
