Comfortable, cotton blend dress socks are perfect for opera camp and beyond.
I ordered these COTTON DAY Men’s Premium Soft Combed Cotton Trouser Dress Socks for my son to take to opera camp this summer. My son is a teenager, and is studying voice, music composition, and conducting. He’s spending his third summer at an opera camp; by now we’ve learned that the packing list is a bit different than going to Y camp. For instance, he has to bring a tuxedo to opera camp.We bit the bullet a while back and bought him a nice set of evening clothes; he wears them for more formal concerts and opera camp, and he has them for dances and opening nights at the Met, too. What we needed this year was more black socks. My son loves mid century menswear; he has a great collection of colorful argyle socks, stripes, and even socks with little embroidered motifs. What he never seems to be able to find are plain black socks to wear with his tuxedo and his regular black concert clothing. Every fall, I buy new black socks, by the winter concert season, they’ve all disappeared again. These socks are made from a blend of 82% cotton/17% nylon/1% elastane. They’re soft, stretchy, and my son says they’re comfortable to wear. The socks are supposed to be midcalf; they seem just a touch higher, which he likes a lot. He also likes the latex free elastic; the socks stay up without itching or indenting. At the current price ($16.99 for three pairs) I think these inky black dress socks deliver good value; they’re not the cheapest three pack I’ve seen, but they’re dark black and just a touch above mid calf. They look nice with my son’s evening slippers and tuxedo, and he can also wear them with black pants and loafers for more casual concerts. At this price point (three pairs for under $20) I think I’m going to stock up on a few more sets; maybe hold one back in a safe place for the inevitable concert season cry of “Where are my socks?”These are perfect for opera camp; just what we needed. Nice dark dress socks, comfortable and cottony.

Black Socks
They fit perfectly, and were a nice addition to my fiancee’s socks. He tends to wear out socks fast where he works and these seem a little thicker then the ones he normally wears and a slightly better quality too. He stated they are fairly comfortable too since he is on his feet all day. All in all I feel like this is a nice set for the total cost.

Very nice socks that are sized
My son was born with extremely long feet. They’ve kept growing through the years. He’s a size 14 and finding socks for him isn’t easy. When I saw these socks, I immediately liked the striped ones. I thought they would be something my son would really like. When I realized they came in different sizes, including “Bigfoot” size, I was thrilled. I had to order them to give him for Christmas. He will love them. They come nicely packaged and I hesitated to open them since they’ll be a gift, but I opened them to check quality and sizing. Besides, I can box them nicely for wrapping later.I think the quality of these socks is great. The material is soft and should be comfy on his feet. I’m so glad they don’t have bothersome seams in places that you can feel them.I ordered the largest size and they look long. I tried one on to verify the sizing and it’s spot on. I could tell by the extra length on my feet that they’ll fit his perfectly.Overall, this is 3 pairs of high quality socks that look great. I love the stripes and colors. I may end up buying more of these for him. I’m pleased with these socks and recommend.

Great color! Great fit!
These are very comfortable and good-looking socks! The black is a very dark jet black. The soles are cushioned just right for workday wear. They are absolutely long enough to come up over your calf, which is good for not showing a lot of bare ankle when you sit down. The sizing of these socks is excellent. There are a lot of manufacturers of footwear who believe that no one has feet bigger than size 12. As a guy with size 14 feet, I truly appreciate that these socks (XXL) claim to fit sizes 13-15, and by golly they do! The heel of the socks actually lands on my heel, and there’s still plenty of sock left to climb my leg.For the size, for the color, and for the price, you will love these socks!

Nice socks but not for me
These come nicely packaged – and they seem like nice socks, but I am returning them because they do not feel like 98% cotton. I am very sensitive to synthetic fabrics, so I don’t want to take my chances. They would probably be great for someone who is not as fussy as I am! 🙂

Decent Men’s Dress Socks
I’ve used these socks a few times with my work shoes, and they’ve been a solid choice. The item appears to be made of high quality materials, and the fabric isn’t too thin. It’s soft and comfortable, which is what I look for in dress socks. These are made from combed cotton, which contributes to their softness and breathability. One feature worth noting is the seamless toe, which is a nice touch for added comfort. They’re also latex-free, so that’s something to consider if you have sensitivities. The socks stay up well throughout the day without sagging, and I haven’t noticed any issues with fading or pilling after a few washes. They come in various solid colors and stripes. Overall, these are good everyday dress socks.
