This thing is the truth
Sorry there’s no photo. Can’t pry this thing away from my toddler’s death grip. He immediately took to this thing (as I hoped he would). He’s been going thru some sleep regression (after being sick and getting lots of cuddles) and frequently getting up and coming to my room every 2-3 hours. I take him back to his room, then end up falling asleep in his bed. He loves to tuck his legs under my legs and his hands next to my neck in the little gap between my shoulder and head. So I originally looked for a weighted blanket. But… he doesn’t really like blankets yet and will kick them off sometimes (although he’s getting used to having a blanket on him). But I figured he needed something that would provide the weight and little pocket that my legs give him and he could cuddle his hands under. Well… I put this thing on his legs while he was sitting and coloring just to check his responsiveness to it and he almost had a meltdown trying to get this thing away from him. Also, side note, this unfolds to a small blanket about 24” x 52”. Once you take off the the pillow cover, there is a zipper on the side, and once you unzip that it unfolds into a small blanket. So you can adjust the inner core as needed, or unfold it and use it as a lap blanket or however else you want to use it. Pretty cool. I will be recommending this to all my clients with special sensory needs. I let my au pair put this on so she could see how it felt and I also almost couldn’t prior it away from her. And honestly, I enjoyed it to. It’s like a gentle and comforting hug. We haven’t tried it at night yet. But… I asked my toddler if he wants to sleep with his snake tonight and he said “yes.” It was the only way he let go of it, knowing it would be in his room and he will be able to use it tonight. He’s already curled up under it, flipped around with it, dragged it on the floor like a snake, taken it out of the cover and helped to put it back in. Safe to say he loves it already. And I’m hopeful it will help him (and me) sleep thru the night. #fingerscrossedUpdate 9/6/24: what a godsend. Sleeping thru the night most nights. Seldom wakes in the middle of the night and goes back to sleep with his “snake.” If I’m tired and try to lay with him until he falls asleep he tells me “mommy, go over there” and gestures for me to go to the foot of the bed. #thankful is an understatement

Perfect as a gaming pillow too!!
Perfect for what I needed– a gaming pillow. I was forever stuffing a blanket around me to have a place to rest my forearms when gaming on my Xbox. I know they make gaming pillows that are U-shaped and pre-formed, but they don’t work for me as I’m a bigger person than they are intended for. This pillow is absolutely perfect, just the right size and solid enough as well. I know it’s not the usual use for this pillow, but I’m soooo glad I found it!!!
