Customers say
Customers appreciate the CGM patches’ cool artist-designed patterns and find them to be a great value. However, the adhesion and durability receive mixed feedback – while some say they stick well and stay on longer than other patches, others report they keep coming off and peel off after one day. Moreover, functionality, quality, skin irritation, and size also get mixed reviews, with some saying they work great while others report they don’t work at all.

Stays on and covers well while being cute!
The adhesive is good, and overall stays on for the length of time my CGM is active. I find it does get loose on the outer edges toward the end, but that works out well so it can be removed without skin irritation.

FINALLY a long lasting cgm patch!
I wear the Gaurdian cmg for 7 days. I was super impressed with these patches the first week that I thought it was a fluke. So I waited to leave a review until I had tried it another week. This is my second patch and again it withheld a week of activity, workouts, and 2 pool visits. I will definitely keep using these patches.I have this patch on the inner side of my left arm and the first patch I had it placed on the outter side of my right arm. As you can see in the 2nd picture there is a very small portion that has come up over the 7 days of wear but this is nothing compared to other brands of patches I have tried over the years. When I was needing to remove the patch it peeled off fairly easy and with little residual stick left off my arm (as seen in the 3rd picture).

Cool Patterns – Bad Design For Diabetics
These patches don’t work for CGM’s. Real CGM patches have a middle portion where you can peel off a sticker or choose not to, leaving the middle NON-adhesive is very important to keeping a CGM stable and attached through its entire cycle. With these patches, they’ll just stick right to your CGM and push and pull it every which way as your skin moves, it’ll become unattached in days if you’re lucky, hours if you aren’t. The patterns made by the artist are really cool, I was excited to wear them in the summer, but I cannot recommend these patches to any diabetic. I returned them immediately.

If you must wear a CGM sensor, these patches will help keep it in place.
These work great for the intended purpose of securing a Continuous Glucose Monitor sensor to your skin.

Not great, but not terrible
After trying several different brands of cgm covers, I’ve yet to find one that effectively works. That being said, curad’s version has the potential to be a fantastic cover with some changes to the product. The pros: it’s large size gives the feeling of ample coverage versus other brands that feel as though they barely reach beyond the sensor itself. The material is both comfortable while also feeling durable. The cons: the ADHESIVE! I’ve yet to find a single brand that has a decent and consistent adhesive quality. This one is no different, with the patch either peeling within minutes of application or sticking so ferociously in certain spots that it feels as though a layer of skin is going to come away with it during its removal. I’m realistic in that I know the notion of a sensor cover lasting the full 14 days is most likely a pipe dream that will never come to be, but I do not think its unreasonable to want a patch that will adhere evenly and stay put for at least 2 to 3 days. In conclusion these patches definitely have there flaws but are marginally better than what else is currently on the market.

BLOWN AWAY
I am using these for my Guardian 3 sensors. I’ve used 2 other sensors and trialed many different tapes. The Guardian 3 is worn for 6-7 days. In the past I had the Libre which was a 14 day wear. These tapes are AMAZING. Like WOW!! I wear my sensors on my upper arm. Even without Skin-Prep these stick on great, through multiple showers. If a spot starts peeling or fraying, I just apply some Skin-Prep and it sticks back on. The worst time it peeled, I just snipped the bits off and it was perfect for the rest of the wear.I am really impressed with these. I developed a blister only twice and that was due to moisture getting under the tape and rubbing against my side. Reactions are going to be per-person of course, but I did not have a bad reaction to these and I am seriously SO IMPRESSED how well these stay on.For 14 day wear I don’t think these will last the whole time though!

Do not stick well
These are super cute but they did not stick well. They kept coming off.

So far it’s been good for the most part
These over patches are basically the adhesive fabric used for stick on bandages. They seem to hold on for a long time, I have been able to wear the cgm (stelo) for the full 2 weeks without sensor failure. The patch will start to come loose on the edges towards the end of the two weeks, however it is still securely stuck to the sensor. Also, the first couple of showers the adhesive stopped sticking, but this resolved itself after it dried.I’m giving it 4 stars because it comes loose after the first couple of showers, but since it sticks better after it dries, I won’t complain about it. After the second time it stayed on after it dried and I have had anything else happen until it started loosening on the edges.
