Design Defect. Dangerous!
Product is defective. Danger, this piece of crap can burn your house down. It does not prevent overcharging, allowing the cell voltage to increase beyond the limit, which can cause overheating and eventually combustion. It also does not balance the cells which agravates the problem. It’s not that this specific unit has a problem, it is a design defect. It should be taken off the market. You wonder how ebikes catch on fire? You are looking at the cause. I am an engineer with 25 years experience, yes it was hooked up correctly, and tested extensively. You can check ebike forums for verification on what I am saying. The unit has a QC sticker on it which indicates to me they know it is defective, either that or they don’t test anything and put a phony Quality Check label on it. I wish I could sue the company for my damaged battery and lost time. At least I can warn others. Don’t be fooled by the slick marketing and fancy website of this scam company. Don’t Buy! Your life may depend on it.
