This set of two pill cutters comes wrapped in two plastic bags. There is no advertising or marking on any of the bags or the product but for the white Amazon bar code sticker that says these are Made in China. Both of these pill cutters are made from clear brown plastic. These cutters are meant for single pills. Both are identical. The cutter is very sharp and these do not have guards so you need to keep your fingers away from the blade when cleaning them. I find these cutters work best with square pills. The round pills and rounded corners can be a little challenging to keep in place when cutting them with these because the hard ridged sides of where the pill sits. The ones I have used in the past usually have rubber in this area to keep the pill in place while it is being cut. Unlike other single pill cutters I have used, these click closed after splitting each pill.

The pill cutter I’m currently using is 20+ years old, and there have clearly been improvements in technology since then.The transparent plastic allows you to verify that the pill hasn’t moved out of place before cutting.The container stays shut – perfect for sliding into a small purse pocket.It’s large enough to hold a few uncut pills for travel.It does clean easily, but the section under the cutter retains a bit of water – I gave it time to air dry in the sun before use.
