Practice Makes Perfect
This is certainly a lifesaver for people who can’t clean themselves after going to the bathroom due to a disabling condition. This is going to be a very big help for those who need it. That being said, it’s important to note that it’s going to take a lot of getting used to. It’s a real trial and error type of scenario. The device itself has an appropriate length. It grips tightly enough and releases with relative ease. I have found that the best practice is to wrap your paper/wipe around the outside of the claw end. Otherwise the end is going to get covered in “waste” and going to make a real mess. It’s easy to clean and sanitize after each use.

Perfect to give independence back post surgery
The EASACE Toilet Wiping Aid, 18 Inch Extended Reach Comfort Tool is a god send for anyone that is recovering from abdominal or heart surgeries. When a family member had an unexpected heart attack, we quickly found that there were many daily tasks that we took for granted that use muscles in our upper chest and abdominal region. You’ve already gone through a serious ordeal medically you don’t need your dignity knocked down. This product was our answer. While it is not something you will use for a long time it is something worth its weight in gold for the short time it is needed. This gives much needed privacy and independence back to a person. This is easy to clean and easy to use. It obviously is not as good of an option as a bidet or the tried and true method we usually employ with our own dexterity but it gets the job done when the job can’t be done in the usual ways.

Works, But Could Be a Little Better
This wiping tool is a great idea , but it definitely needs some improvements to the design. Pushing and pulling the eyelet part in and out at the end of the handle, is what controls the clamp opening and closing. There is no way to lock it closed either. So, the paper can easily be pulled out from clamp. I did manage to get it to work out for me during the sort time that I was healing from an injury. However, I think it would be better if there was an actual button that controlled the clamp and some type of locking system.

Easy to release used tissue
This wiping aid is well designed. If you’ve been shopping for one, you’ll see different designs. Some work better than others. What I liked about this one: very easy to pull the loop to release the jaws. Pretty color, too. It does take practice to figure out much toilet tissue to use. My tip: use more than you think you’ll need. And even though it says you can use wipes, don’t release them into the toilet because they cause clogs even if they say flushable. In summary, I would recommend this product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:American medical association says wipe from front to back. This has barely the curve needed. Looks designed for reverse.

Toilet Assist Tool for Seniors
Good for seniors who need extra help in the bathroom. The price is fair compared to similar products. However, the design could be improved for easier use. Might be tricky for seniors with hand mobility issues. Still, it’s a decent assistive tool for added independence. The length is appropriate for reaching but can be individually based, and the grip is okay but could be more ergonomic. Cleaning it is manageable with care. It offers privacy and dignity for those who need assistance.

My intended use was to clean hard to reach areas such as the narrow space on top of the air conditioner, and storing or bringing down items at the top of closet shelves, etc. The teeth claw design is extremely beneficial to grip. It’s like an extended arm.

Convenient
I had a bad back issue there for a while and cleaning the bathroom especially made my back hurt more. This is so convenient and helps me not have to bend as much. I had to learn a bit on how to hold onto it properly but quite easy afterwards. I do wish it was slightly longer because barely a foot and half if that. But it is helpful and useful in cleaning regardless.
