Wouldn’t set your watch to them, but they’re good for what you’re paying.
Bright colors, sturdy plastic caps and glass, clear labeling: These have all the hallmarks of excellent novelty hourglasses that can be used for a variety of time keeping purposes.The 30 minute one doesn’t work well though, it has to be tapped several times to get going, though it flows well once it’s started. All the others work very well, and the colors are pleasing. It’s not enough to knock a whole star off for, but just keep it in mind.For the price you pay, they’re about what you can expect.

Who would have guessed that simple sandglasses could give such pleasure? They are sturdy, attractive, handsomely crafted and a joy to handle. Oh, and they keep time perfectly well too. Absolutely worth the price.

sand timers high quality and accurate timing
bought these to time my work calls doing helpdesk. just flip it and go. Its nice to see when the time is almost up. The glass and outer stand portion is sturdy and quality. i’m sure it would be good for lots of things board games, egg timer etc. You get all 6 in the order so plenty of times to choose from

Great for Child Time Management
My wife and I use these timers predominantly for our daughter, in terms of time left to play or time out or whatever. Our daughter enjoys watching the sand trickle down and also enjoys flipping the hourglass.A word of the wise though, the hourglasses are made of real glass so adult supervision is imperative.They are really nice quality timers. They may be off by a few seconds or more but you get the gist of it!

Toddler time
My toddler loves these timers. Great for “quiet time” or setting video game time limits, these colorful sand timers make watching the clock fun! Supports number recognition, adds choice to tasks. The set is a great value, too.

They aren’t durable
These tiny little timers started out perfect for my three year old. I liked that they were all different colors and came in a variety of time increments. They were portable to move throughout our house wherever we needed them. They didn’t last long though.One did break—the glass broke. And with all of them, the black end caps broke off. All of them. It was really disappointing because they were more susceptible to the glass breaking and didn’t stand straight up.

I really like them, they are small but good size, I love all the different colors they used.. the sand is colorful and sparkly. I think is glass? not sure,.. funny story.. I was showing to my mother when she came to talk to me.. I grab the ‘5mins one’.. and put it in front of her and told her ‘you have 5 mins’.. she didn’t laugh.. she grab it.. opened the door to the garden and through it away.. hahaha.. because of the grass, surprisingly it didn’t broke, but I wouldn’t make this a ‘habit’… keep it a way from your mom and her lack of sense of humor :p .. ok, back to the review.. I think all grain sizes are the same, is just the quantity on each are different for different minutes.. I like the big numbers which tells you the minutes for each.. other ‘brand’ text printed on it was unnecessary.

The base on one of the timers fell off immediately but is a quick fix with some glue. Otherwise, they’re great. The kids and I did an experiment and timed each timer to see how accurate they were. Some of the larger counts were off by as much as a minute or two but for informal use with kids activities and chores (teeth brushing, reading time, TV time, etc) they provide a novel and effective purpose.

These timers are great, I’ve been using them with my kiddo who has some BIG feelings especially when switching activities. The bright colors are engaging and she can see exactly the interval of time left for her to play before clean up time (for example). Have only had a few weeks, seem durable enough, and have not tested accuracy as I really don’t need precision.

I didn’t expect them to be perfectly accurate, and i bought the whole set only for the 3 minutes one… which is in the end a 2min34s timer. Accuracy is really hit or miss.
