Great Camera System
Having been using for several months now. Have found cameras to be of great quality and configurability using the Eufy app. There have been several device and app updates since initial install, so they are constantly improving and responding to user feedback. Haven’t used the AI/recognition feature yet, just leaving on the generic human/vehicle detection, which has been working reliably. Streaming and video quality are configurable from 720p to 4k, nice wide field of vision. Light level at night is very adequate to see stream clearly. Support for 2-way audio via camera speakers. Solar power is reliable with cameras at constant 100% battery as long as placed in location with access to sunlight. Recommend this product as a high quality camera solution at a reasonable price point.** Make sure to set up HomeBase prior to adding additional storage. After unboxing HomeBase I added an internal SSD for additional storage and had issues during HomeBase setup. Removing the drive, completing the setup, then re-adding the drive later worked fine.

Amazing 4k cameras with lots of features
I went from the Blink Xt2 camera system to the Solocam E42. It was like trading in a Nissan Versa for a Lamborghini! The E42 was extremely easy to install. Mounting the cameras to the camera bracket was very easy. Solar panel installation was also easy. Make sure you read the directions and set up the cameras before you install them. Figuring out if you are going to run the cameras through the homebase or use the MicroSD on each camera can be tricky at first. If you decide to use the microSD, the cameras will not work until the microSD is installed. The video is amazing quality! The AI feature is very helpful to follow activity and to train the cameras to identify people. You can even program family members so that when the camera picks up a family member it will identify who it is. The cameras are very good quality and have lots of great features. Some people have complained about the app, but I haven’t had any problems with it. If your cameras are going to be located far away from the wi-fi, make sure wi-fi extenders are set up to ensure the cameras receive a strong signal.

Very good. But could be better
First of all, I highly recommend having the HomeBase 3 for this camera, however, it also runs as a stand alone. The picture quality is very good, with clear images and videos even in the dark. The spotlight really enhances this feature, as well as the tracking. My biggest complaint, however, is that the FOV (field of view) seems to be not as wide as I would prefer, however the pan and tilt feature help make up for this, so long as you have the camera positioned in a spot that it can pick up things in the area you want.

Easy to set up, no monthly fee, and works flawlessly
I have had the Eufy camera kit for a week now, and am very impressed with how it operates. I also have their robot vacuum/mop and admire the engineering and thoughtful user interface they build into their products. These cameras give a great picture, and have a much shorter lag before receiving a notification than my previous system (Arlo), which cost me $19.99 per month for notifications. With Eufy there is no monthly charge. It also recognizes faces if you show it someone and give the face a name. Then it will tell you who it saw if it recognizes the face. Nice to have, but that is not the most important thing for me. Setup was very simple; it recognized my wifi immediately and logged on with no input from me. You can set it to notify you if it sees any movement, or people only, or traffic. So it is flexible and you can eliminate unnecessary interruptions. It also has a flexible mask that you can drag so that you ignore parts of the field of view. It is not just a rectangle, and can fit almost any shape. And the camera has a motor so you can pan and tilt to see a wider view.

Eufy home security kit w/ homebase
Overall the cameras are very good quality. Seem to be very durable & solar panels can either be mounted separately or on camera itself depending on sun exposure. The battery life seems to be good so far & charges very quickly. The price is good for what comes with the kit (4 solar cameras & homebase) however, I would think the connectivity would be a lot better, given the cost. There are times the camera works great with no issues but the majority of the time it has issues connecting to the camera & is delayed even though WiFi connection is strong.**Eufy customer support is by far the best I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime. They contacted me when they did not have to & went above & beyond to try to come to a resolution for the problems mentioned in my review.

Get 4 microSD cards when you purchase.
I’d rate it 4.6 stars overall.Pros: The price paid was at a 23% discount during a Prime event. The price of comparable name brand systems was much more than I paid for this system.Easy to install the cameras. The cameras provided crisp videos, and the auto tracking features worked flawlessly. Since each camera has a solar panel, the battery life is excellent.Cons: Most of the setup is intuitive, but the small booklet with the instructions is in small print. You can watch YouTube videos though if you need extra help.I did not see any mention of the microSD cards or optional hard drive for the home base until after opening the package. It would have been nice to know so that the purchase could be made at the same time. You can get up to 128GB microSD card capacity, and you will need 4. One for each camera. OR, you could get a hard drive to install in the home base. The connection speed of your router matters to get timely notifications. Also, make sure that under your phone’s general settings that the app’s notifications are turned on.I set this system up for my dad who is not too tech savvy, but was still able to get the hang of it right away. Overall so far, it works well and it offers more peace of mind.

More wireless range on the base station than you might think, though if the signal is weak the camera won’t reliably trigger. Good picture. Decent night vision. Very good microphones. We’ll see how they survive a manitoba winter.
