    Wonderful Vision Aid
We purchased this for my 100 year old mom who has vision problems. It is exceptional! First, it is easy to use so the learning curve is short. The 8″ screen covers enough ‘territory’ so that sentences and phrases can be seen at once. The magnification is adjustable so that my mom can chose exactly what is right for her. She can also chose a background/text color combination that is best for her reading comfort. It is expensive, but giving her the ability to read makes it worth the expense.

If only this product lasted, it would be great
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! I foolishly bought it not just once , but twice. I bought it the first time, and it worked great, but then it quit working. I called customer service, and they attempted top troubleshoot it over the phone, and when that did not work, they said they would send me a new one, but it would take several weeks before I would get the new one. After about a week, I was desperate to get another one because it had worked so week, so I decided to go ahead and buy a second one, thinking I could have one at home and leave one in my office once the replacement arrived. The new one arrived, and I used it for a few weeks, and then my replacement arrived, so for a brief time, I had two that worked. Then my my new onr quit working. I should have called to replace it, but I had already thrown awy the box and packing material, so I decided I would just be fine with the new one. BIG MISTAKE. A few weeks later, the new one quit working. I should have tried to get that one replaced, but agai, I didn’t have the box or packing materials, and not being a person who returns things, it just seemed like too much troublr to try to return it.the worst part is that when the product works, it is amazing. But it just doesn’t work for long.

    All around great product
My elderly mom who has macular degeneration really likes this. It’s a monitor that she can place on a page and slide it down. The font size can be adjusted larger if need be. It’s nice and bright and extremely easy for her to use. No need for her to hold it and try to steady it over a page. Pricey however it’s a great way to give her the ability to read. She is an avid reader

After 3 months, seek warranty service from the company direct
This product works great. However, it stopped taking a charge after only 6 months of use. I didn’t check the warranty info at the time, because when you click the link about warranty, nothing comes up.

    Warranty is terrible!
The unit stopped taking a charge after a year and three months. It was still under warranty so we called about getting a replacement and sending the unit back. No replacement offered. They wanted it sent back and said it would take two to three weeks!. This not a toaster! This something someone relies on for work every day. Plus the cost of the unit I would think have a better warranty program. I am glad we did not buy the extended warranty. What a rip off that would be. This is terrible customer service for the type of product it is. It is great when it is working, but customers that depend on this should not have to wait two to three weeks. Management should be fired and someone in the medical field should be running the company who understands the importance of this device.

    Magnifier
We learned of this item from the Braille Institute where we took my husband’s mom for her failing eyesight. It has helped her a lot! It’s very simple to use and has some great features to accommodate most people. Kinda pricy but worth it to extends someone’s independence.
