Just got new glasses but prescription still unable to see up close. Allows me to read most things but cutting still a challenge.

Light and magnification
I absolutely love this item. I read the Bible at night before going to bed and with the light built into this product I recommend it highly.

Not quite what I was expecting
I thought the Eye Candy was a wonderful idea. I must not have understood the full concept, or what I am doing wrong. I was under the impression the entire page I was using it to read by would be magnified clearly, not just portions. I will certainly give the delivery a 5 star rating, but not sure about the product itself. I will give a 4 star, giving the product the benefit of doubt.

Do this if the light isn’t working:
When I put batteries in it the light didn’t come on, I realized the positive contact is too far recessed into the plastic, so I cut a piece of brass shim material to fit in there and take up the space. Any conductive metal of the right thickness would work. Cheaply made product and not worth the money they charge but it is easy to use and is light enough not to be too tiring to hold for my mother.

Better than expected
Very nice magnefying glass. It does have some glare but once the light is on it’s not as bad. It’s big enough to see a whole page and the magnefication is excellent.

Error
The led lights would not work. The package had been opened before it arrived and someone had written “NO LIGHT” on the magnifier. Evidently the magnifier had been previously returned and was sent to us in error.UpdateAmazon sent a new one overnight.Works perfectly. Thanks Amazon

Great Magnifying glass
It is a bit larger than an original magnifying glass, and it is rectangular, has a light and does the job. It is a plastic material but the design is done well. The color is cute, not to distracting. It is approximately the size of a book page, and can easily be stored.

No matter what your eyesight is, the Eye Candy is really useful when trying to read use by dates and other difficult to read items. Would recommend it to anyone.
