Good crushing
This works great for crushing up cut up calcium pills. It should work for any kind of large pill that can be cut in half because calcium pills are hard and thick and huge.

Doesn’t crush!
It doesn’t crush pills! The top and bottom only get about 1mm apart so pills aren’t crushed – they are only “broken”. This product literally doesn’t do the one thing that it’s supposed to do.

Easy to use
Great little pill crusher. Used it for my sister’s meds in home hospice.

This was the only pill crusher I could find that also did grinding, which I need because I need to medicate three cats who apparently have no issue eating random plastic but suddenly become food critics when there’s a piece of a pill bigger than a grain of sand.Like most others have said, this is designed so it does not fully meet, thus really defeating the point of the grinding aspect. But because I wasn’t able to find anything remotely similar that did what I needed it to do, and I noticed there was a good deal of extra lip on the clear plastic part, before the screw, I just put it flat on some regular sandpaper and ground it down. Didn’t take me near as long as I expected and works like I want it to now. Obviously, you’re gonna wanna wash it out after, to get all the loose plastic out, and in truth the grinding components are also plastic so I try not to press down too hard and end up with pieces of those in there too, but for what I need (a single pill down to a powder) it does the job. Works better than a mortar and pestle, a spoon, or any of the other various methods I’ve tried, once modified. Still retains the powder a little more than I’d like, obviously would prefer not to have to modify it, and to know that the actual grinder part was made of a sturdier material, but if you just absolutely need something to work, this is the only way I’ve found.

Funziona molto bene per frantumare grosse e ruvide compresse che sono difficili da deglutire. Ho fatto una piccola modifica ribassando di circa 2 mm il bordo superiore prima della parte filettata (vedi foto). In tal modo le due superfici zigrinate combaciano perfettamente (mentre nell’originale rimane un intercapedine di circa 2 mm, appunto). Si ottiene così un completo frantumamento in una polvere impalpabile.Attenzione: accertarsi che le compresse non siano rivestite da un film gastroresistente, che verrebbe distrutto dalla frantumazione. In tal modo si pregiudicherebbe grandemente la loro efficacia terapeutica.
