Fun Fidget Toy for 28-y/o; Broke, but Replaced.
I’m 28 and bought this for sensory reasons (SPD) and it’s also fun just to fidget with while reading or doing something where my hands aren’t occupied. I always have it with me, either holding onto or in my pocket.The texture is gummy-like, with nubs for extra sensory input. I can’t stand light touch, so this toy is perfect for me.I tried pulling the Tangle apart because I saw someone do it to their Tangle on Youtube. But instead of just easily popping apart like in the video, mine broke and it couldn’t be put back together because the connector piece broke off inside the other piece. I was very disappointed that I managed to break it so soon after receiving it.I contacted Tangle Creations and told them that it broke and they sent me a new one for free. Wow. I’m very impressed with their customer service. When I received the new one in the mail, I again tried pulling it apart and it did pull apart without breaking this time, but it only worked on one of the links, not all.So the product itself is great. Customer service is great. Just don’t try pulling it apart with too much pressure because it WILL break if you have to use excessive force. I wish Tangles would come apart more easily without breaking.UPDATE:I still like this Tangle Therapy, but I like the Tangle Relax Therapy version even better. It twists more easily and is smaller so it’s easier to fit in your pocket.

Amazing!!!
This has quickly become one of my go to gadgets. I’m a special education teacher, I work with many students with disabilities including students with autism who tend to stim on various objects. I’ve had students who were obsessed with holding straws, knives, would pick up random items out of trash cans, and other undesirable items, you name it. One of my current students is obsesses with saving his own straws or if he doesn’t have one on hand, digging one out of the near by trashcans, so I gave him one of these to keep on his desk instead. It’s big enough that it’s hard to loose or break, yet small enough to grip easily and keep his attention. And best of all it’s safe, no sharp edges, and I can easily sterilize it as needed. He loves it, and we’ve tried numerous items in the past that would quickly break or get lost. I have several other students who like it too, so I’ll be purchasing more to keep on hand in my classroom, and passing on the word to several of the parents I work with. Thank you so very much for selling such a great therapy item, I can’t recommend it enough.

Get tangled! Amazing!
When I received it, I can’t stop playing with it!Here’s what I like about it:- the material is really good. It has clear rubber texture covering the actual plastic tubes. This makes it non-slippery and very easy to play around even with one hand bec it wont easily fall off of your hand. Very good grip!- the joints were strong enough to hold the pieces in place. pulling it apart won’t be easy – which is a good thing because you dont really want it broken apart most of the time (unless for other purposes)- the size is big enough for my hand (adult hand). when fully curled up, i can completely grasp it.- I find this more interesting to play with when I am a bit busy and thinking or reading as compared to bucky balls (magnet balls). With this, you dont have to look at it and just let your hands play with it. you can be reading seriously and not notice that your hands are playing with it unconsciously. With magnet balls, it’s not that comfortable to play around with your hand and you have to look at it bec the intention mainly of that is to form a specific shapes/forms so it needs your attention. But with Tangle, you can just let your hands do the playing while your mind is onto something else.- I smelled it after playing with it for two days (after receiving it) and I was surprised – it smells good!! I haven’t even washed it yet!- I can feel the effect of it for my hands. I felt that my hands were exercised throughout the day! I even think this is better my hand grips that I crunch with my hands. When you play with it, your fingers will move to different directions and it will really have a good ‘workout’ – especially after holding your mouse for quite sometime. This will be more effective if you play with it with only one hand and try to roll the Tangle all over your hand in different directions.- very useful when browsing internet – right hand on the mouse, left hand on your Tangle. The right hand will be jealous though..- If you focus on it and try to think of a specific form that you want, it can be quite challenging as well and very stress relieving. My officemates are jealous when I brought it to my offfice. hahaha!Things that I wish for it to improve:- color – I hope the colors are more vibrant or there are different color options. The colors are quite pale especially with that clear rubber around it. But this is only my personal choice.**i have submitted some photos of my Tangle.

Exactly as advertised, just be sure that’s what you want!
We’ve had several plastic Tangles in our family, so I knew basically what I was getting when I ordered this one. Sadly, the instant I took it out of the package I realized that it wasn’t a “good fit” for me, as the nubby rubber coating just didn’t feel right. I didn’t realize until I held the rubber one that I like the smooth ones better. However, I have it sitting on my desk and a lot of visitors to my office enjoy playing with it. It is a little too wide (1/2 inch) and long for manipulation with only one hand, but it’s a good size for two-handed play.Think about what kinds of textures you enjoy before deciding which tangle to order, and you’ll be fine. The texture of the rubber on this tangle is sort of sticky/grip rubber, rather than slippery-smooth like silicone, and the nubbins are short but noticable. Although the texture of it wasn’t right for me, it’s still well-made, sturdy and the joints are all flexible and easy to move.Note: the rubber is soft, so if the toy is for someone who needs oral stimulation, it might not last long. It doesn’t feel like chew-resistant rubber.

Einfach genial! Ich kann das Ding Knauth chen und Formen, wie ich lustig bin. Unzerstörbar ist es allerdings nicht. Ich habe schon ein kleines Teil herausgebrochen. Dennoch ließ sich das gute Stück wieder zusammensetzen und ich kann es weiter bearbeiten. Man sollte also nicht bei Wut und Ärger damit herum spielen, aber um Nervosität am Telefon zu bearbeiten oder bei einer langweiligen Besprechung wach zu bleiben hilft es alle Mal. Es hilft auch, wenn man sensorische Reize haben möchte, da Eunterschiedliche Strukturen hat.This is amazing! You can fidget with it and you can press it. Sadly I had to find out that it isn’t Indestructible. I squeezed it is so hard that a little piece broke out of it. But fortunately I could click it together and fidget on. I have many Tangle toys. Right now I have 3 textured, 2 smooth, 2 fuzzy, 2 of those big ones, 1 metallic and a few that have gone missing over the years.Out of all of those, this one is my favourite.I have Autism (along with ADHD and OCD). I wouldn’t classify this as a fidget toy for me, I use it for tactile feedback. The rubbery shell with the tickly bumps are brilliant.It is tough and very hard to break apart. You really need to give it a big pull and even then it might not break apart. I’d say this is the toughest Tangle I’ve had.It’s not too big but it’s not small either. I can just fit it in one hand (it’s bigger than a normal Tangle and very thick), it moves easily and fluidly.Excellent build quality and good materials makes this Tangle worth the asking price, so please don’t get put by its price.All in all, I recommend this to practically everybody.PS: When you receive it, there is a booklet in the box that does spew out some rubbish about it helping your mental wellness… just ignore it. It did make me roll my eyes though, the crap that some people can believe is, well, unbelievable.

Very dissapointed. This product arrived with the box open. Upon getting the tangle out, I realized it was disgustingly dusty – my hands immediately became dirty due to touching it. It was also sticky, and even using it, the links felt sticky and used, they also had some scratches on them. The movement of the links also felt like this product was used. I wish I never purchased this?!
