Customers say
Customers find these reading glasses to be well-constructed and comfortable, offering good value for money. They work well for both computer desk work and reading, with one customer noting they perform as well as $300 prescription glasses. The clarity and focus receive mixed feedback – while some praise the excellent vision at various distances, others report everything being blurry at distance. Durability is also mixed, with some finding them sturdy while others report them breaking within a week.

Great Deal for Quality Glasses, Fixed My Problem
I’m pretty new to this world, as I just started to notice my near vision deteriorating about a year ago. I’ve been experimenting with various readers since then, but I’m now at the point where I want to wear glasses most of the time since I’m tired of constantly having to take reading glasses on and off to be able to look at my watch or my phone or whatever. I tried a couple bifocal readers, but I was not willing to get used to looking at that line all the timeI’m really impressed that I was able to find some transition lenses like this for such a good price. They’re good quality construction, really comfortable to wear for hours. They’re serving exactly the function I need, where I can now mostly see well at a distance keeping them on while still being able to see up close very comfortably.A couple warnings (which I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews):1) there is a slight reddish tint to them that some people might not like. It doesn’t bother me at all.2) The top of the lens isn’t just completely pass-through. There is slight magnification for that part, too. I think it would be better for me if it didn’t do that, but it’s so little that it doesn’t really mess with my distance vision too much, and sometimes it even helps me, like when I’m watching TV at a midrange distance, then it’s ever so slightly better than just watching without glasses. So for me it’s a decent tradeoff.

Best optics quality
I’ve ordered & tried SO many different OTC (Over The Counter) progressive specs, and have found the clarity quality of all Foster Grant progressives, to have the best and WIDEST, horizontal visual clarity for computer & reading without any distortion. I wear them a little low on my face to peek over the top of frame, when walking or focusing at far distances. It’s BY FAR, the easiest focusing experience keeping them on my face all day, without any issues. Immediately able to SEE VERY NICELY upon putting them on, without needing any time to adjust to the optics, unlike a new pair of optical prescription progressive glasses, which usually DOES require “time to get used to them”.They even beat the quality of the leading optical progressive lenses available, that supposedly have the widest field of view. They’re called Varilux. l spent over $200.00 (not including frame), on that Varilux, which ended up being $ thrown out the window because I could never see with them. These “OTC” Foster Grants have been a true blessing, comfortably easy to use, with no hassle or headaches, upon wearing.***VERY MUCH WORTH THE MONEY***#BestOpticsWithFosterGrants

does the job
I spend a lot of my workday continually alternating from looking down at a laptop screen (where I need the magnification), then looking across the table (no magnification required) at a client/coworker/boss.The old on-again off-again routine of regular single-strength readers was beyond annoying, so decided to try a progressive reader.I didn’t want to shell out big bucks for a prescription pair, so gave these a try.Overall I’m very pleased. They’re quite sturdy, without being bulky – they don’t look or feel ‘cheap’. The arms are spring-loaded so are forgiving when taking them on and off. The progressive lens works quite well for me, to the point I rarely take them off during the work day. For extended periods of reading or computer use I still prefer a regular single-strength reader, but these are now my ‘go to’ glasses at the office. They do tend to smear and smudge, needs a lot of wiping and cleaning compared to my (significantly more expensive) single-strength pair. As others have mentioned, there is a subtle but noticeable rose-colored tint to these lenses – which doesn’t bother me too much and isn’t noticeable when actually wearing them. All in all, they’re good for the price. I’d even pay a little more for a better lens coating option (hydrophobic / oleophobic).

TRUE progresive readers without distortion
Clear and in focus at both reading and computer distances. I ordered these the replace another well known so called “Progressive readers” that I order and had to return. But these are TRUE progresive readers without distortion.

Good glasses, not so good service
Good glasses, poor service. Shipping was several days late and they are only offering a partial refund. If you are in a hurry, go elsewhere. If you have the time, the glasses are very good.

I also wish I could order a pair with 0 distance help for distance at the top. Would be great if I glanced over at the TV while reading or on the computer and could see properly. Otherwise great glasses. I like the way the arms are attached to the frame on this model. The last pair broke at the weld. Let me know when O distance is available and I’ll order another pair immediately.
