Finally, I found these front closing VELCRO adaptive long pants for upcoming ankle surgery that will put me in a cast. Other pants I found had side zippers which are hard to alter if the legs are too long. As noted by others, the pant material is thin, BUT it is stretchy cotton and breathable. For someone 5 feet, 145 lbs. the XL is relaxed and roomy, and the legs only reach the top of my feet which is perfect for me. I recommend gripping the Velcro tabs when opening the pants to protect the material and stitching. IMPORTANT: There are no washing instructions included in the package to remind buyers to Hand Wash. At the very least use a gentle cycle in your washer. Keep the Velcro closed to protect the fabric. You may want to hang and air dry these pants instead of tumbling in the dryer. Shrinkage is undetermined.
