Didn’t work right
We were not able to get the gait vest on her tightly enough. When we pulled up on the vest, it slipped and slid, so of no help. I will return it.

It’s complicated
Haven’t had to use it yet, but they do run small for bigger people. Also, it’s like a puzzle figuring out how to adjust straps and clips and front from back etc. took at least 10 minutes to figure out.

Stitching and clasp failure.
The Clasps for the shoulder area slip Suddenly and fast, all the way to the end of the strap. The Stitching failed of a strap on the frontal side of this harness which at the same time, detatched 100% fastly. Not a safe product for ‘Lifting’ a person weighing 130lbs.. ‘Lifting’ this 130lb person from ground to stand up position is not safe to even try in my opinion. Not Safe in my opinion. This product was used one time. Arrived on time. In Garbage-can on time. This is not a Safety Harness.I would not rely on this belt for guiding a person with walking disabilities because when a Falling down episode occours, the helper would of courcse then, try to slow the fall…. failures indicated above may occour. Then what…I see now why the Indroduction Video will never show the Lifting capacity of this product. 7/January/2025.

Great idea, but poor design
Really like the idea of back and ‘chest’ support because elders, particularly heavy elders desperately need it when lifting or transferring. The design is flawed though. The vest will shift up when using the pull straps—almost dangerously—even if they are tightly positioned at the start. Definitely deficient for women and their breasts. The best pulls up over them, or gets locked onto one or the other during lifting or transferring (even if snug at the beginning of the lift or transfer process). A ski-type vest with internal, and/or external, strap design would help with positioning and stability during moves.

Poor Quality & Not Safe to Use
The overall quality of the vest is pretty poor. Plus, the handles are in the wrong places, so you can’t lift a person properly or safely, thus making this vest absolutely worthless… I have to agree with another reviewer who said the idea is sound, we just need someone to make a proper vest. I’m definitely returning this one…

Well made…
We use this with someone who has drop seizures. It was difficult at first to figure out how to put on correctly. Once you have it figure out it works nicely. It allows the individual to be walking and you have multiple access points to hold onto the person.
