I like Govee products in general. These are great. Had a handyman do the install. Went quickly. Lights are way brighter than what I had before. Easy to setup and control. Nice colors and good selection of scenes available.

Awesome lights
These lights are awesome and look amazing once installed, the modern design and excellent app control really stand out.One thing to note is that the light body is a bit thicker than ultra-slim models, so if ceiling joists are present, they may not create a perfect seal right out of the box. My older lights were about the thickness of drywall and sat completely flush even near joists.The app is great, i was able to sync it to my google home without any issue.

I love everything Govee
They made it simple as possible to install. Quality look.After using these lights for a bit I realized they are a pain to make them work in sync. Sometimes they dont have the same brightness. Sometimes one falls out of sync with the others. The music mode just doesn’t work. They all eventually turn back to white. Thats messes up my disco mood. Took off 2 stars. Sorry goveee – for the price I expected them to be easier to use. Update – Govee offered a refund. Thanks, Customer service is important to me. Maybe I need more Govee lights.

Crazy easy to setup
Wow so I was really impressed by these lights! Very easy to connect and setup. Almost too easy! I have several different smart home lights throughout my house and by far these are the best. There are several different functions for lights and they sync together well. I was also surprised how bright they get in any color. It does have a normal warm and daylight light setting too.

i was able to installed the govee ceiling lightsthey are perfectwork with Alexa and googlei had to replace the dimmer switch on the wall and it works perfectmake sure to run it with your 2.4 ghz wifi since it has long range important for ceiling lightsthey stick to sheetrock and work greati will give them a 5 star raiting

We are slowly switching things over to Govee. These are amazing. They are so bright. Look amazing and fit perfectly. The kids love the multiple different colors. So far have been more durable then previous lights. Functionality is great for all the different occasions.

Great replacement for existing 6″ housings, get an electrician for install if you are unsure
Only installed one so far, that said, 10/10, provided connectors worked great and lighting options through the govee app are fantastic. Can even do basic changes and power on off commands from Alexa. Would absolutely buy again. Since I was already working with 6″ canless recessed lights, swapping out the old for the new was easy enough. But definitely hire an electrician for install if you aren’t familiar with working around your houses electrical setup.One tiny piece to mention, one of the “boxes” came with a wire with damaged insulation, no big deal as I can just strip to that point and work from there, just figured i’d point it out, check the 3 wires inside the cans before you start working to ensure all are free from defects.

Almost awesome, if you get a functioning product
The lights and effects themselves are very cool, very Govee, so if you are familiar with their ecosystem you know what to expect. But the design of physical lights themselves is lacking. The spring clips that hold your lights into their respective cans are inserted into the main light body but is only held in by a small little tab that you can’t access to adjust. On the four lights in the pack I purchased 4 of the 8 of these connections wouldn’t stay engaged/connected making it it literally impossible to get the light to stay in the recessed can and therefore unusable unless you light your can lighting to hang from your ceiling by wires.

The pot lights themselves are great. But Govee pushes for server access so you require internet. Which is not a big deal, but the fact that there’s no real integration outside of the govee app including home assistant and other platforms. They have too much control and you don’t have the freedom for an item you paid for.
