Amazing and cost-effective little machine with stellar accuracy.
I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m absolutely over the moon about this product. As someone with chronic white coat syndrome/doctor anxiety in general, I consistently get inaccurate and off-the-wall (for me) results on my blood pressure tests when I visit doctors. Recently, I attempted to get on a certain medication that would almost certainly raise my blood pressure, and was denied for the time being because my reading in the office was so incredibly high.I was told by my doctor to follow up with her with blood pressure results taken from places outside of the office (pharmacy, etc). Unfortunately, I don’t live very close to a place that does free blood pressure readings. So, I thought to myself, if I would continue to be monitored as I was treated anyway, it made perfect sense for me to buy my own monitor, if not only for accurate results outside of the office, but also for the peace of mind as I started my treatment.SO! With all that being said: This monitor is stellar. For $30 I get readily accessible blood pressure readings that are accurate and easy to understand. It’s small, and comes with a convenient carrying case. The memory function is especially nice, as I can look back and see how my readings compare to one another. I have somewhat large arms, and the cuff works really well for me; easy to adjust but fits like a glove. The packaging is also very friendly and the set-up guide is pretty easy to understand.Overall, I’m really, really glad I purchased this, and will get quite a bit of mileage out of it in the coming years!

    Track that Blood Pressure!
Simple to use and small enough to carry with you. Easy to read. Is it worth the $? Yes. Especially if you want to live another day!

    Good Product, Great Customer Service
After testing for borderline high blood pressure twice, I decided that I need to monitor the situation more closely at home every day. I had always had pretty decent blood pressure, up until last year (I am 49 now). In any event, I checked Amazon for monitors, and I typically look for anything that is Prime, modestly priced and at least 500 reviews averaging 4 or more stars. This was one that fit the bill, so I pulled the trigger.Clean and easy to read, I turned it on and immediately screwed up the settings to measure in kPa rather than mmHg (the common measurement). I tried like heck to switch it to mmHg, but there was no way to do so… or so I thought. Unfortunately, the manual does not have directions on how to switch it back, so I called the toll free support line (brilliant, btw), and sent an email asking how to allow me to reset the measurement settings. The person I received on the phone was very helpful and polite and spoke fluent English, thankfully. Took about 10 seconds to have me fix the problem. I also received a very polite and supportive email from another rep telling me the same thing. I answered him back, and told him problem solved, and he wrote me back again to say “great, thanks and let me know if there is anything else I can do.” I was VERY impressed with the customer service, which is severely lacking in many companies and industries.OH, and by the way, the product works as advertised. Very easy to use, consistent and allows you to put in two users, and track up to 60 records each. It is a great little device and even has a nice carrying pouch so you can take it with you.

Lots of pro’s – some con’s – for me accurate at a good price point
I have several BP monitors as I seem to be in that middle stage of pre-hypertension (thanks menopause!) which is brand new to me having always had low blood pressure. I’m a vegan marathon runner who is very careful with diet and all my other numbers look good so my Dr. and I have been trying to figure out what’s up with my blood pressure. No family history either – and seems to be related to other changes given my age and gender. That said there were a few things about this I liked and a few I disliked. Here they are:Pro’sBack lit monitor – awesome! Easy to see even if darker in room or area and very clear screenAccuracy is mostly good – it does throw me some low numbers every once in a while but in general seems to vary less than other monitors of its class.Easier to use cuff – I find BP cuffs to be an exercise in futility as I am a petite female and the cuffs are really hard to get on as my upper arm is small. They tend to slip all over the place – wish this was a smaller cuff meant for more petite people but then it wouldn’t fit a lot so…yeah…anyway. Difficult once I’ve used it a while to get it to stay and velcro with the right placement. Would be easier with much bigger arms. Middle of the road – easier than some, harder than others.Easy to view historyFairly simple to set upCon’sAccuracy (pro and a con) – there are times I know this isn’t accurate and, if so, it is generally reading low. That’s not great for me as I really need the most accurate monitor I can find. Still – probably less than 10% of the time. I use a couple monitors and I was hoping to get away from that but likely not if this is not 99% accurate. It’s just not. Good for overall and longer use where you are looking for patterns over time – but not for that one critical BP reading.NO bluetooth! My first version of this companies monitor had Blue Tooth and it took me some frustration to realize this doesn’t have it and it doesn’t sync to the app. That’s a huge bummer as the price is still not that cheap and you cannot sync it to their app. So the history is a LONG and MANUAL process to pull off and record. Didn’t realize it – and though it’s not a deal breaker I would not purchase this machine again knowing it does not have blue tooth to connect so I can pull my readings down without manually having to do it. Buy the slightly pricier version of a monitor from this company so you can get that bluetooth. LOADS better and can go into Apple Health. The other issues apply – just it’s so much easier in this digital age to have bluetooth and sync.Overall – I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5 if you don’t care about bluetooth. Since it is designed first as a BP monitor I cannot downgrade for no bluetooth but if you are looking for a more current gen way to store and access your history get a bluetooth monitor with a good app.
