Great little pin for educating people
I wear this pin when I want people to leave me alone and it totally works. I just wear the pin, and when someone annoying comes up to me and wants to make small talk, I just point to the pin and shrug. Works perfectly. If they try to sign to me, I just say that I recently lost my hearing, in a loud voice, and that I haven’t learned any sign language yet. Honestly this gave me so much relief from my social anxiety even though this is not what it was made for it works for me. The pin itself is fairly well made for the price.

Easy Spotted with Favorable Results
Nice Pin. I wear this on my Collar. Have noted that many folks comment and often speak slower or louder with out being asked now. Have worn Hearing Aids for years (my sixth set). Also have another same size, same format that says “Hard of Hearing”

Good option to let others know of your hidden disability
There are situations that are very challenging for the hearing impaired. In these situations, help might be requested from strangers. Seeing a lapel pin that indicates you are hearing impaired may pave the way for a more gracious response. I ordered it to have for air travel. It can be incredibly difficult to understand announcements in airports and while on a plane. Airline employees are generally willing to assist, but they can lose track of you in the rush to deal with other customers. This pin seems adequate in size and is clearly printed. It should easily catch the attention of someone you are directly speaking to. I find the price to be a good value.
