One of the most respected U.S. health magazines cuts through the myths surrounding heart disease to provide effective prevention and treatment strategies
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for both men and women in the West, yet so little is known about it. Despite the billions of dollars spent on researching its causes, conventional medicine continues to offer treatments that are based on false observations. Many still believe, for example, that fatty foods clog the arteries (they don’t) and that LDL cholesterol is the villain (it’s not—it’s merely a symptom). Find out the real causes, how to treat heart disease, and how to prevent it in this essential guide.
What Doctors Don’t Tell You is a well-respected international magazine that has been researching medicine—alternative and conventional—since 1989. It is now widely regarded as one of the best health newsletters in the world. Now, in association with What Doctors Don’t Tell You, Hay House is publishing an authoritative new series of books, each focusing on a common health condition or concern, to help readers make informed decisions about their health, and the health of their families.

This is a very non scientific and non credible book with horrible information and suggestions that will potentially cause patients to have cardiovascular events. It should be pulled from Amazon. If you believe what is in this book and follow the advice you may end up in the hospital or dead. Are these people who wrote this book physicians?

I confess I’ve long been a subscriber to “What the Doctors Don’t Tell You” so I was pleased to find their book on Heart disease. Basically it points out that much modern medicine just tries to treat the symptoms of disease rather than work on the real cause, which could and often does bring about great improvement and often a total cure. ( and one has to question whether the big Pharmas are at all interested in finding cures as opposed to ‘ managing the symptoms ‘ which must be far more lucrative!). It examines the effects of our stressful modern life style, often nourishment free diet and lack of exercise along with other factors and then examines alternative plant based or enzym based etc remedies along with simple ways of tweaking your life style to reduce stress and improve blood circulation, heart muscles and so on. Obviously it suggests supplements like CoQ10, Magnesium, Potassium etc and fish oils; there are sections from Orthomolecular specialists, top Homeopaths and Acupunturists as well as fitness experts, relaxation techniques and the science behind them and is a very well researched book with plenty of articles from top medical journals worldwide to support its arguments. And most of what it says about diet and nutritional supplements is what Dr Steve Sinatra suggests in his interesting book Metabolic Cardiology. So if you suffer from high blood pressure, or low, irregular heartbeat, Atrial Fibrilation of have suffered a heart attack or other heart and circulatory problems, this book is easy to read and very informative. I would recommend it.

Informative although some of the information I have heard from other sources . Still , it gives the reader cause to think .I was especially surprised reading the B.P. information.

Eye-opening look at what you can do for yourself when receiving a diagnosis of heart disease. You can feel helpless and just take the pills, or you can help yourself and perhaps (I’ll let you know!) reverse your symptoms. At the very least, your lifestyle and diet will improve, which must help.

Useful and informative book, giving all the latest medical treatments for heart disease, explaining the different diseases of the heart and then looking at the healthy, diet option to best enhance and strengthen the heart naturally.
